here's Firefly episode 2!! The Train Job, we get to see more of the crew and how they interact with one another - as well as more of their personalities which I am really excited to see! I have my predictions about certain characters (which you'll see LOL) but I'm liking the crew dynamic and the fact that this episode highlighted the captains moral compass and how soft-hearted he is under that big tough shell. I hope you guys enjoy! :))

I remember when I first saw this. "I will hunt you down and the last thing you see will be my blade." Ahhhhh yes, the usual trope. This is going to be multi-episode villain! We'll see him. . . oh, I guess not.

Joss Whedon was reading a book about the Civil War, The Killer Angels, I think, when his mind wandered and he imagined the Millennium Falcon arriving on the scene. He developed the concept into Firefly.

"This gives me Civil War vibes." The setting is meant to be compared to the Civil War. Oddly, Mal and Zoe take the role of Confederate soldiers who deny the rule of the United States. As Mal said in this episode. "We will rise again"

If you recall, at Serenity Valley, Mal had a cross that he kissed and made references to God. Then they lost the war. In the novelization there’s a part where Zoe says, “Thank God”, and Mal responds, “God? Whose colors He flying?”
