Super excited to watch your reactions to this!! I was very fortunate to be a part of the on-set lighting crew on this show, so it's extra fun to watch along with people seeing it for the first time! :) I suppose the only things I'll mention is that this show takes place roughly 5 years after the Return of the Jedi (if you wanted some context as to where it fits in the timeline). So the Empire has been taken down, but there are still remnants of it here and there. Also, you may be fully aware of this already, but the child is simply another member of Yoda's species, not Yoda himself haha -- 'Baby Yoda' was just an internet nickname that stuck. Perfectly fine to continue calling him that if ya want though! Just figured I'd mention it. (and I'm sure plenty of YouTube comments will as well, lol)

I love the The Mandalorian series, a Boba Fett series/movie (not sure which) is coming at the end of this year. I also recommend Star Wars: Clone Wars (133 episodes 22-31 minute episodes). It adds a lot to the series. I would watch it on your own if it's too long.

The main problem I have with the show's music is that they can't seem to pick a lane. There is the really weird tribal flute/western vibe that fits the tone, then there is weird soft dubstep electronic music for action scenes, and then pseudo Star Wars orchestral for fanservice moments.

Yay, thanks for starting The Mandalorian! :D The series is fan service, but a much appreciated one. As a lot of Youtubers said "I didn't know I needed that!".

If you have time, and you’ll need a LOT of time, you can get a lot of context by watching the series’ The Clone Wars and Rebels. The Clone Wars takes place in between Episodes II and III and Rebels takes place between Episodes III and IV. It’ll give a lot of context that will be really helpful through the series on Mandalorian culture and politics before the Great Purge that the Armorer mentioned in this episode. The Mandalorian takes place about five years after Episode VI. Both series were supervised by Dave Filoni, who is making the Mandalorian along with John Favreau. Filoni was handpicked by George Lucas when Lucasfilm started producing The Clone Wars, and Favreau became involved with Lucasfilm after it was acquired by Disney. You can find more on this by watching Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, a docuseries about the making of the Mandalorian. I felt like such a nerd typing all of this out lol
