The shorter version isn't "censored." That was the cut that was initially released in Europe, too. The extended version didn't come out until a couple of years later. I thought I remembered reading that Besson didn't have a preference, but now I can't find the interview, so I may have been wrong about that.

people saying that you should watch the censored version of Leon are just prudes (American probably), you re a grown up and intelligent person, watch the European version (as some reactors already did on Youtube and it was fine) and you ll see by yourself :)

Heavenly Creatures is an underrated gem from Peter Jackson. Glad to see it on the list, although I can’t see it getting many votes :(

Nobody GETS to watch Leon if they haven't seen the (ahem) '78 Superman first. You can watch The Last Dragon without having seen Enter the Dragon first, but this rule isn't as strict.

Nice eclectic list here! :) A couple of things - I'm probably in the minority, but if you watch "Leon: The Professional," I'd actually recommend the shorter theatrical cut (just called "The Professional" in the US). The extended version drags the pace down and things get weirder than they really should, and even the director has stated he doesn't have a preference between the two. I HATE to be "that guy," but "Superman" came out in 1978, not 1979. :) It's basically the prototype for the modern big-budget superhero movie, so it'd be fun to see your reaction!
