So ACTUALLY originally I was going to watch season 2s episodes first, but since the Patreon poll option to watch the film first won by a landslide - so I did and I'm glad I did! This movie made me EXCITED to watch the episodes because now I have extra little scenes and details that I can look for and look forward to :)
I don't wanna spoil but I'm really upset with how things ended up turning out in the ending and it made me cry a lot. It was really a well paced movie and I felt although it was still demon slayer and depicting the episodes, it was done differently enough to make it enjoyable as a movie. I really *really* liked it and I'm so glad I listened to you!!

Episode 2-7 is movie but Episode 1 is a prequal and the whole episode is unique that you don't want to miss. (Actually fun fact; Ep 1 is an Anime-Original, not originally in the manga) Episode 8+ Will be the next Arc and Season 3 has been confirmed to release in April 2023 :)

The end result of this film for Rengoku I think is fitting. He is vibrant, pure, passionate, immense willpower, driven, like the flames that he wields. So I feel it makes sense. We needed to see the power the demon slayers have when up against the upper level demons. How closely they are matched and how humans have to be that little extra extraordinary, crazy, and sacrificing to reach those limits that demons have. Powerful character with a powerful influence on Tanjiro. More to come in season 2! :)
