Eternals has it's good points but overall just doesn't work in the MCU, so V's criticisms seem pretty valid to me. But they are apparently going ahead with a sequel.

I wouldn't say that! :) I went into Captain Marvel expecting to dislike it (far worse critics on that film) and ended up loving it! I give every movie/show a chance with a clean slate - just because I know others don't enjoy certain films doesn't mean I wont :) critics don't soil films for me!

It was alright, but the characters are so forgettable. And once Marvel gets into celestials and other higher beings, it gets to be a bit dumb if not handled well. Guardians did it well.

Kumail is always fantastic. Unfortunately he was criminally underused in this. Not that even more Kumail could have saved this...thing.

I just didnt feel anything watching this movie; except boredom. It's hard to like a bunch of holier than thou figures who literally did nothing whilst the world ended; several times! I didnt sense any chemistry. Kumail Nanjiani is charismatic. Ultimately this could have been an interesting Disney+ show with stories interwoven over millenia, focusing on each character. Maybe then do a big movie where they all finally come together in a clash.
