Also what a welcome back to the series amirite xD Also I literally watched this episode three times through before i fully understood gus's move here. Walt and Jesse basically made the power play of "we're the only people who are going to run this lab" and gus fired back with "you're right, and i'll make sure you're the only people that can run this lab for the rest of your life" Him using the box cutter was basically a promise that they have no way out of the lab, even if they're allowed to leave. Also if Gus is willing to kill someone important to himself to make that happen, what does that say about people that aren't important to Gus? Like hank, marie, junior, Jesse's parents and brother. Gus made it open season on everyone Walt and Jesse love if they ever step out of line

Gus didn't kill Victor only to give a message to Walt and Jesse, he killed him because he was seen on the crime scene by other people, and as you know Gus he didn't wanted to take any risk.

I think so too. And Vee, please watch El Camino in between. Chris, I've debated this too and I lean toward BCS by just a smidge. But I get it. That 'smidge' can go either way. I don't understand how anyone could think EITHER show is crap; but someone does, clearly.

There's still 6 seasons of Better Call Saul after! I've debated it a lot, but me personally, I think Breaking Bad is probably the better show technically, just by a smidge, but I enjoy watching Better Call Saul more 🤷‍♂️ It has a little bit different tone, but I really think you're gonna love Better Call Saul just as much.

Neither is Dookie! BCS is arguably an even better show. Remember I said "arguably". My two favorite non sci-fi shows of all time at this moment are BrBa and BCS.

Season 4 is a hell of a roller coaster. Without a doubt you'll be on the edge of your seat the whole season. I remember even watching week to week being terrified through each episode Edit - The first episode... wait Gus slowly showing what he can do... totally sets up the rest of this season. Absolutely amazing story telling, and so both subtle and loud at the same time

Did you notice that the box cutter Gus used to take out Victor was actually the very same one Gale used to open those equipment boxes in the episode's beginning? It's a classic example of "Chekhov's gun" in action, where something seemingly insignificant early on becomes a crucial element later in the plot.
