I know I'm about 5 months late but I just got here and have been binge watching this. But I figured I would leave a bit of advice that I wish someone would have told me back when I was first getting anime. When it comes to sub v dub. Go with your native language or language you can easily follow along with for your first watch through. If the dub is good, like the AoT one is, than all of the story telling, drama, comedy and feeling will be translated perfectly and you won't miss a beat. What you will miss however, is the visual story telling that a lot of shows, particularly AoT, does. There will be things that you will see and think nothing of, or just the way some scenes are set up that may seem like nothing but later on, something will click and all this stuff comes crashing down. And lets face it, we are only human and its pretty hard to read and watch at the same time. There are elitist who will say subbed or nothing but thats on the extreme side of things. Most things that are different are just names and phrases or general sentence structure, but in the end you will arrive at the same ending. Than after you've watched it through you can go back and watch it subbed and get the feeling from the original voice actors. That's just my two cents and seeing how far along you are already, I guess my point is pretty mute, but maybe this bit of info can help you in the future if it makes it to you. Enjoying it so far and appreciate the work you do.

Hi Nicholas!! I'm gonna be sticking with English dubbing because I realized I had some translational/understanding errors from the dubbing that other people had to kind of clear up for me, plus it'll help me enjoy the art that much more:)) my main concern was the dubbing being bad but it seems really good so I'm not too worried as of right now! Lol

Thank you for letting me know about the spoilers!! I'll be watching the intros again starting with Ep 7 :) And I'll likely stick with Dub since the voices are really sticking to me, as well as more time to enjoy the art and not as many understanding errors on my part LOL

s2 already, Vee is spoiling us and I am here for it! Answers are coming LMAO!! Erwin and Levi are carrying the dub for me, I love their characters and the VA's are doing awesome work, hearing Sasquatch in english for the first time was chilling too.

Great reaction V. Hearing your thoughts and theories is great, brings me back to when I first watched and it's always fun to see how different people pick up on clues and try to piece it together. I think theorizing about it is at least half the fun 😂. About dub and sub, I think dub has good voices for some characters, but overall I prefer the sub, especially with how amazing the dialogue and acting is in S4. With the original author was also involved in guiding the actors in some important scenes.

Thoughts and feelings are what we’re here for! Don’t apologize for them. We love hearing your honest thoughts and theories. I remember that this season started out a little slow for me but once it got going, it was like being shot out of a cannon. No brakes! The Beast Titan talking shook me so hard. Then when it said “Oh, so you can speak”…man, my heart just dropped so hard. It added a level of cruelty to the whole thing. I’ve mentioned before that I prefer the dub. Obviously you’re free to make your own decision but I do love that already you picked up on the magic of Erwin’s voice in the dub. Even diehard sub fans mostly agree that dub Erwin is incredible. My favorite of the dub voices are him, Levi, and Armin. Oh and we can’t forget Jean, though the sub actor for him is great too. I’m glad you’re giving dub a chance. I hope you stick with it for at least a few episodes before deciding to switch back, should that be your preference. Anyway, so glad you’re back with this! Also I saw your reaction with Natalie Gold today and I just want to beg you to get her on this show as well. 😂 I’ve watched a few shows with her and I think she’d like this one. Or at least we’d enjoy watching her. But I still love your reactions so much!!!

I feel like you should choose sub or dub and stick with one just so you are familiar with the voices, in my opinion as good as english might be japanese is thousand times better. But do whatever you want just my opinion. Also i think you can watch the intro after episode 6 but see what others think.
