Ratatouille!!

Christophe

Are you talking about the 1977 version? If so, why on Earth would anybody watch that? It's terrible. Watching that movie is probably only worth it to hardcore Tolkien fans who want to see everything ever made in that universe. I would also be surprised if you could even find it anywhere on the streaming sites.

Garrick Smalley

I would love to see The Animated version of The Hobbit make a poll some day.

FatLittleButterfly

It's my Disney list lol. Tangled is my favorite princess film

Ian

Only voted for three to show support at least but hoping for puss in boots or ratatouille cuz the rest are kinda meh sry to say

Eric Janssen

An anime fan who’s never seen Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer or Project A-Ko? Not in my generation’s day….

Christophe

I don't know, Encanto as a whole has really grown on me, but some of the songs are pretty meh in my opinion. Surface Pressure and Dos Oruguitas (the latter more for the emotionality of the scene than for the music) are great, We Don't Talk About Bruno is pretty funny but overhyped and the rest are not very memorable at all.

Christophe

She's done Incredibles (1+2). Also Toy Story is a trilogy, can't tell me otherwise. And Tangled is a really meh movie. Apart from that, good list, even if it's very Disney-centric.

Christophe

I get that and I often feel the same way but surprise! – popular movies win polls. And there's no reason to expect vastly different results on different channels. There are a lot of niche TV shows (and a few movies) that I would love to watch someone react to but guess what, they're niche, therefore not a lot of people know them and therefore, not a lot of people are gonna vote for them. Also, on a practical side, a reaction channel has to, to some extent, react to popular things because otherwise it's not gonna do well. Reaction to popular media is obviously more popular as well. And a reaction channel cannot hope to attract large audiences (and therefore make it a viable income channel) if they only react to obscure stuff.

Christophe

Well... I guess we can't avoid Cars for much longer. Let's just get it over with so that it's no longer in the poll 😅 One of my concerns with Cars and Ice Age, which seem to be pretty popular here, is that watching those movies will probably also lead to the sequels. And while Cars and Ice Age are decent movies, their sequels are absolute garbage.

Raieldon

ooo, maybe we can do one for Vkunime next. A Ghibli-free list of things you haven't seen still includes most-acclaimed-of-all-time short-listers like Millennium Actress, Wings Of Honneamise, Weathering With You, In This Corner Of The World, The First Slam Dunk, Memories, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, Jin-Roh and Tokyo Godfathers.

panacamanana

Macross Plus OVA's I sent you.

Calbert

I don’t know what it is about Cars but I just really like that movie. It’s almost like a comfort movie in a way. Encanto also has like the best songs in a Disney movie.

_tragicmike

Classic.

Derder

Sorry, let me clarify, it's very dear to me because it reminds me of some one very special. The happiest of the happy songs in that movie will crush my soul.

vlocke67

ahh! i hope Kubo and the two strings gets watched at some point!

Slate

Another vote for An American Tail. It's a classic from when animation was still treated as art and story was one of the most important things in making it. A bit unfortunate that 3 of the 4 leaders in the poll are all 3D films with only one (An American Tail) being 2D. Not to say 3D animation's bad, those movies are definitely good and worth seeing, I just hope the 2D classics won't be forgotten. Sadly, not many studios seem to make them anymore outside of anime, though I could be wrong. Maybe for the next animation poll there could actually be two, one for 2D films and one for 3D? Just an idea.

Leigh Nathaniel Silver

An American Tail is AWESOME

FatLittleButterfly

Tangled Wreck it Ralph 1+2 Toy Story 1+2+3+4 The Incredibles Brave Monster Inc + Monster University Ratatouille (CHECKED) Moana

Raptor

Too gimmick-y and power fantasy. The newer animated films hold back too much or push too much fantasy elements. Characters are too flawless or polished. The ones I mentioned. Poverty, immigration, abuse, abandonment, diminutive main characters that aren't special, self discovery. You're able to connect better because they're very close to regular people in realistic situations.

Mike Turp

Fievel Mousekewitz

MertzRocks

Yeah you didn't KNOW that? ;P

NareikAC

Pass, i dont like catoons but you do you

Senza Nome

Rio and Book of life being so low is criminal

Leeland

I would also add Kubo to that list. So much heart in that movie!

Leeland

To this day, it is a new years traditon in our household to watch this movie. It just is sooo good! Even though i was scared by parts of it as a kid...

Raptor

This list is missing The Secret of Nimh. An American Tail and The Last Unicorn are the only quality films on here.

VKunia

Yes!! Sorry for the delay on updates, Poison Ivy won the poll so thats coming - just editing takes a while with the photographer I used, not to mention the cosplay pieces were a MESS to obtain 😭

VKunia

oh no... its sad???? :((

VKunia

WHAT LOL

VKunia

Well that's why I do random surprise picks from the polls - to show some love to the films that don't win and are hyped up! I don't know what's good or what isn't, therefore it's important to hear what everyone has to say therefore I can pick the right surprise film! I can't control what wins, that's up to everyone here! So if people vote for a film, that's just what they'd like to see:) And just because people see clips and memes here and there about the concept of a movie, doesn't equate to the actual and full experience of watching it! I'm here for the whole ride, not just to get the spark notes 😊

Jordan Love

The Last Unicorn might be a slightly tricky edit with all the music, but totally worth it.

Bill Woods

Bambi is kind of essential, for film literacy. Also its sequel, Bambi Meets Godzilla.

Thats MR. Baldamort

How does ratatouille win every poll in every react channel. Gets old pretty quick. Way better films in this poll that should get the light of day. The amount of sameness across react channels baffles me sometimes. Vee has probebly seen this entire movie in clips and memes alone at this point let's be honest lol

Darth Arterius

I'm voting Puss in Boots only because the sequel is phenomenal. I haven't even seen the original movie. 😅 I hear it's okay though.

mikethemotormouth

American Tail and Bambi, the only ones that hold any interest for me here

Derder

I didn't vote for it, only because I'd rather not be an emotional wreck, but An American Tail has a very special place in my heart and is very worth the watch. I just don't wanna cry. :)

A2Rhombus

Genuinely I hope you watch all of these eventually

Skywhale

Yes Ratatouille was probably gonna be my pick until I saw An American Tail down the list. Pixar is great, but Bluth movies were also pretty special, and everyone's done the Pixar collection. I look forward to that and Cars regardless. Good flicks.

CrimsonCreamSun

Completely unrelated, but are we still going to get Photoshoots?

VKunia

I'd definitely want to check that out... I miss Ghibli (even though they burned me 😡😭)

VKunia

Awww thank you Tom 🤗🌺

_tragicmike

C'mon Fievel!!!

Skywhale

First! I picked An American Tail right away. Don Bluth IS a genre, imo. :D my off-poll wish is Ghibli's 'The Cat Returns' (as a Patreon Exlusive ofc) because it's something of a successor to Whisper of the Heart.

VKunia

!!! I hope to experience them soon then 😊

Tom W.

It's always fun to hang out with you regardless of the movie.

Richard Lowe (The Writing King)

You'll enjoy Bambi and Ratatouille.
