One that baffles me is that for all the love of Korean film on Youtube, few people have watched the most famous and beloved of them all: Oldboy (also sitting pretty in IMDB's top 100). Especially for those who are fans of Tarantino.

There's one film that's currently in the 100 highest rated films of all time on the IMDB 250 that has basically zero presence on the reactosphere, and it's the movie that landed hardest on me out of the thousands I saw as a teenage film buff: Once Upon A Time In America (1984) It's also generally seen as the end-all of "10 out of 10 films unknown by the mainstream" despite being a megabudget Hollywood gangster epic made at the height of Robert DeNiro's popularity. Essentially, the studio messed up the release and no one knows it unless they go looking up Greatest Of All Time lists.

Ooh so many possible films... I saw someone earlier suggest Secret Life of Walter Mitty which would be good, and someone else say 12 Monkeys. Identity is a good film... same vibes as 6th sense. Someone also said you haven't done many westerns so 3:10 to Yuma is a very good film with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, and maybe the 1994 film Maverick, which is a bit more light-hearted for a western. If you wanted to go for some older films maybe Gaslight (1944), 12 Angry Men (1957) or the Ladykillers (1955). Also, a really good climate related film I think you'd like is The Day After Tomorrow with a young Jake Gyllenhaal in it. The Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, World's End) is also brilliant; I highly recommend. I just love Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright together. Talking of Edgar Wright, Scott Pilgrim VS the World and Baby Driver would also be great I don't envy you trying to pick. There's so many good suggestions from everyone : )

I'd also recommend Uncut Gems and The Truman Show. Both are great films that feature traditionally comedic actors taking on more serious lead roles (Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey respectively). While both actors have done a few other serious roles, I think that these are their career-best performances.

I requested this in the comments of your No Country for Old Men reaction but I'll post it here again: Since you seemed to enjoy NCFOM you may like "There Will Be Blood". It's a period drama about an oilman during the Californian oil boom at the turn of the 20th century and it has a similar vibe to NCFOM. Both films were released in the same year and were both favorites during awards season. I personally rank TWBB slightly higher than NCFOM (and Letterboxd tends to agree) but I'm curious as to what you might think.

Dumb and Dumber (if you haven’t seen it, I didn’t see it on here), Jackass(after Borat, it’s a good next step, just have a bucket ready), Ghostbusters, The Fast and the Furious, and The Godfather. I know this is for movie recommendations, as you have a lot of series going right now, but when you finish better call Saul or the boys, I recommend LOST and/or Dexter. They’re both really good overall, although they certainly have polarizing endings.

For Movie Reactions, I recommend: Gossford Park - and ensemble mystery period movie, set in a grand English manor in the early 20th century. Written by the guy who wrote the Downton Abbey show. Insomnia - Murder Mystery set in Alaska, starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams (in a terrific non-comedic role). The Informant - a "based on real story" that is almost too weird to believe. Starring Matt Damon, and a *bunch* of stand up comedians in (mostly) small non-comedic roles. Very fun.

"Open Range" is a great modern Western. Starring and Directed by Kevin Costner, also featuring Annette Bening and Robert Duvall. "Lone Star" is a good indy drama, set in the modern American West. A great little drama starring Chris Cooper and Elizabeth Peña and a very young Mathew McConaughey.

You haven't done a lot of westerns, so with that in mind my first recommendation would be Lonesome Dove. It's actually a 4-part miniseries but it is well worth it and widely regarded by both fans and critics as one of the best ever made and has an incredible ensemble cast. I highly, HIGHLY suggest you check it out, and you'd be one of the few who've reacted to it, which would set you apart from most reactors. For a more comedic experience with some heart, I'd go with City Slickers. Very funny and enjoyable and has some emotional moments, too. And one of the main performers won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for it as well.

I am a fan of old school sci-fi movies, here are my favorites: •Them!(1954)- which is one of the first giant bug movies and has a great cast •The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms(1953)-this is has stop motion special effects by the great Ray Harryhausen. It was also the inspiration for the Godzilla franchise • The Thing from Another World(1951)- it is based on the novella “Who Goes There?” John Carpenter will remake in as The Thing in 1982. •Forbidden Planet(1956)-which is a space film •It!The Terror from Beyond Space(1958)-the Alien screenwriter has said this was an inspiration for the Alien film. •Godzilla franchise and other Toho films- it is one of the oldest running franchises starting in 1954 with the original Godzilla movie in Japan.

Just a note about Mad Max: No one seems to ever react to the classic Max movies with Mel Gibson. First and foremost a western everyone seems to forget: -LITTLE BIG MAN (1970, Dustin Hoffman, Faye Dunaway) I know it's spring but this Christmas installment seems to fall by the wayside and I think it's the best Scrooge anyone has done. -A CHRISTMAS CAROL (1951, Alastair Sim) One I suggested to my favorite Scottish creator, though sci-fi, it's a bit different, and no one has reacted to it that I know of... - JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH (1959 James Mason, Pat Boone) Another older and different sci-fi that never leaves Earth: - FANTASTIC VOYAGE (1966, Raquel Welch, Donald Pleasance) Three musical selections, I think none have ever been reacted to: - DETROIT ROCK CITY (1999, Eddie Furlong, Sam Huntington, KISS) - THE RUNAWAYS (2010, Kirsten Stewart, Dakota Fanning Michael Shannon) - ROCK 'N' ROLL HIGH SCHOOL (1979, P.J. Soles, Dey Young, Clint Howard) Possibly someone reacted to DRC but I've only found reviews. Only two of those are comedies. Now I'm not the biggest Will Ferrell fan, but team him up with John C. Reilly and the mayhem rocks! Plus I have never seen anyone react to these (though maybe someone did). - TALLADEGA NIGHTS (2006) - STEP BROTHERS (2008) Three movies that make up a trilogy looking at Superheroes a little differently than we are used to. Jackson) - SPLIT (2016, James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Betty Buckley) McAvoy absolutely deserved at least an Oscar nomination for this! - GLASS (2019, Willis, McAvoy, Jackson, Sarah Paulson) This is a fantasy movie that has lots of heart and I (and others here) think you'd love it. - STARDUST (2007, Clare Danes, Charlie Cox, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro) Finally I'll leave you with this gem. Many will call this a basketball movie. No; though it is an important character and plot element, this is more about finding oneself. - FINDING FORRESTER (2000, Sean Connery, Rob Brown, Anna Paquin, F. I've noticed very few reaction steamers have done 2008's "Speed Racer", maybe due to its stigma as both a critical and box office bomb. BUT.... it's reached cult classic status as being a quirky wonderful family film, a kinetically-charged sports racing spectacle, and a fun live-action adaptation of the old Japanese manga/anime series. Barring that, other sports/racing drama films like Ford v Ferrari and 2013's "Rush" come highly recommended as well!

See No Evil, Hear No Evil. It stars Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor as two men who witness a murder. The only problem is that only one of the them heard the crime and the other saw it since Wilder is deaf and Pryor is blind. The police think that they did it so they have to escape to find who did and to clear their names. It’s a comedy/thriller.

I think I told you this the very first time I commented. The con man genre, which is a sub-genre of crime. You can dominate this field, m'lady. "The Sting" is arguably the best of the genre, and I would argue it. In addition: Paper Moon (a beautiful movie, funny and touching both): Matchstick Men; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (a hysterical comedy but a smart con movie too); The Grifters (dark); The Spanish Prisoner (also dark). They're all great, and you'll own your own genre because no one else is doing this. I can't wait. :)

When it comes to martial arts movies, I recommend The Raid 1 and 2. It's Indonesian martlal arts called pencak silat and it's some of the most insane fights in cinema. Great story, as well.

Dune Part Two. If you want to know more about it since Part One, then this is it. The other half of the first book. It’s easily one the best Sci Fi films in history alongside Part One and one of the best book to movie adaptations of all time. I’m almost done reading the second book; Dune Messiah which its movie is currently in development. Your reaction to it will be massively worth it!
