Myko Update🩺🏥
🕑 Added 2024-10-15 05:45:08 +0000 UTCHi loves, so I’ve been MIA the last 3 days due to a health scare with Myko. (My beloved lil cat for those of you unfamiliar 🥹). The last few days have been a bit rough because about 3 days ago Myko’s health went into decline and I had to take him to an emergency vet.
To paint a picture, I woke up the first morning to Myko hiding from me and crying. I didn’t know what had happened therefore I checked his body and found a massive lump that came out of nowhere. Like tennis ball sized.. and hes a tiny boy - so seeing that, him crying and meowing in pain I had rushed him to an emergency hospital. I spent the day there. The first day at the vet they told me to monitor and keep an eye on this big mass he had. They cleaned it, gave him pain medicine, antibiotics, pain reliever (you know how it goes) but didn’t tell me *too* much. (They also told wanted to sedate him but that’s another story that just made me mad LOL)
The next morning I wake up to blood all over the floor and I panic. I rush him to another vet and turns out what had happened was that that mass had ruptured. (Which they said is good but I have to be cleaning it and giving him even more medication to maintain his comfort and prevent infection). I cannot describe how scared I was. Especially with how much was on the floor, I was mortified..
So now I’ve been taking care of him, giving him his meds, making sure he’s clean and comfortable and now I believe he’s more stable. But it’s been quite a wild time due to so many health issues from my own, to Mykos, to some personal family medical issues as well.
I had to move my twitch stream over twice and had announced this in my Discord so I also just wanted to let you guys know as well. (For those of you interested I’ll be streaming tomorrow on twitch twitch.con/vkunia) I know this is where I post the latest content etc and it’s not exactly the most personal space.. but I feel like you guys really are like a close community to me, and for those of you who feel the same I believe you’d be okay with knowing some more of the personal details of my day-to-day. Those of you who are not, I’m sorry for sharing and feel free to scroll! 🙏 absolutely no hard feelings. It’s just been a bit of a rough time with all these health issues and I wanted to thank you guys for all of your support and always being so kind to me. I love reading your comments and appreciate you all so incredibly much. I'm sorry you had to go through that, it must've been scary, I would've been terrified waking up and seeing a lot of blood. I've had pets get sick, have lumps, and also pass away but most of the time it was always out of sight for me. My parents often took charge and found out about them before I did. So it must've been harder going through it moved out on your own. My last pet which passed away did so in a way which was very hard so I haven't had another pet since. I love when I get the change to pet a strangers pet though or my brothers cats. Glad to see Miko looking mad yet okay.

Oh no! But at least he seems like he's on the mend now. He looks like a little half-Bengal darling I had for 16 years, Aether. She was the sweetest cat I've ever known. I'm glad you posted this, because grief over the loss of a beloved pet is very relatable, and I'm so glad you didn't lose yours, but it's good to talk about these things. Take care of yourself, too!
