When you said " these were traumatic episodes. I'm just gonna remember them for a long time." Gosh, I feel on that so much. First time i watched GOT, some scenes were living rent free in my mind for a little while.

Winter is here and wont STOP coming apparently (they're saying even more snow the next week or so ππ) Thank you Ian!! Same to you:)
VKunia
It was!! I really liked it, palette cleanser is the best way of describing it haha
VKunia
YES THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS WONDERING - that makes a lot of sense. Baelish likes to yap and gain intel from everywhere... so does everyone on that Small Council apparently lmao
VKunia
NOOOO lmao I had to finish Fallout but NOW we're cleared for a nice well deserved GoT binge ππ©·

Around 20 minutes in, you ask how Baelish "knows" something; I assume you mean about Renly and Loras being, let's say, 'an item'. Being part of the Small Council, he has of course known for years about Renly, and he has his own spies too of course, as he told Ned. How could he NOT know? If you meant something else, my bad - lol. ...And at the end.... Yep. EVIL. Something evil this way comes... "...outta her coochie!" Love your reaction! Pardon my signature, With love from your Mertz π€ππΈ

I still want to try to be cautious in the wording as to not spoil anything. So my guess/interpretation of that....thing, Melisandre gave "birth" to, was a Shade of some sort. And in typical fantasy lore, that's....never a good thing. Yet, she believes in what she's doing. She's convinced that she's in the right. On the winning side "by prophecy" in this war. As for where things are going; I think you'll really like the next episode as a pallette-cleanser of some good ole fashioned intrigue! You'll see what I mean on the next one.
Ian

I love how everyone that doesn't have experience in D&D immediately jumps to 'demon baby', therefore she evil, lol. My first reaction was that clearly she had plans for this spell a couple episodes ago because that spell, although did not take anywhere near as long as actually pregnancy, clearly needed a little time to gestate. But I recognized it as magic. In D&D, she would be considered a warlock because her magic comes from her god, her patron deity. What spell she casted? Well, I figured it was something similar to what is called in D&D as summoning the Unseen Servant, although, lol, in D&D you don't cast it like that, lol. Its a much simpler spell. But, it seemed to be summoning type of spell of sorts. Very interesting way to write a summoning spell, too. For story purposes, it ensures that it isn't casted very often; very challenging to prepare and cast. And with Ser Davos smuggling her to shore, I assumed it can't travel over water or isn't going to last long and needed to be near whatever their purpose for it was. Lol, so many people immediately think 'demon baby' lol. I also love how you keep holding on to this idea that Melisandre wants to be queen, lol, and although I'm with you about her faithful self-righteousness (people that walk around with an air of 'i know the truth, just cause...', lol) in general; self-righteousness IRL is different because here, Melisandre has proof that she is backed by her god due to being able to do actual magic, lol. Her faith gives her actual power, which implies that she really believes in the prophecy and in her role in making it happen, not necessarily anything to do with being queen. I think if you knew and saw other followers of the Lord of Light and what they are like then you wouldn't expect too much nefarious ambition from her, lol. So there was a small piece of info when Rob and Lord Bolton were talking about flaying men (skinning men while they are alive). Rob said flaying people was outlawed in The North. Bolton's family sigil on his flag is the 'Flayed Man' crucified on a cross (the traditional style of a cross, so in the shape of an X), implying his family have a rep for flaying people. Although we didn't see Ros penetrate Daisy with the rod Joffrey gave her, the scene we saw wasn't that he wanted Ros to stick Daisy with it, but hit her with it. I, of course, can't say the former didn't happen. The scene was intended to create dread in the possibilities. But Ros hit her with it, not penetrated her. Small spoiler but Daisy is still alive and still working after this, so I feel that implies she wasn't penetrated with it, just beaten.
