I know the feeling.

Big Frank

These polls are just against me!!!

Madmanmarz1981

I second that! An underrated movie to be sure. Maybe if J knew Halley Berry was a "Dancer" in this one would help? lol And Danelle Harris (Little Jamie Lloyd from Halloween 4 & 5 , among other great roles.) as Bruce's daughter. And some great dialogue! Lets hope for another shot in a runner up poll , or action poll.

Goofaman

It’s criminal that the last Boy Scout is not winning this poll.

Violet

I know he'd LOVE The 'Burbs!!!

Got a few New Years Eve flicks for possible consideration. 2 for Slasher , and 1 for Disaster. Terror Train 1980- Jamie Lee Curtis , and David Copperfield.(Yes the magician , as The Magician ) in a very underrated little film.-Canadian slasher set on a train on New Years Eve. This movie did not get an official home media release until 1988 , so unless you caught it on cable , which was rare , it was somewhat forgotten. A total classic. New Years Evil 1980- Staring Kip Niven , Roz "Pinky Tuscadaro" Kelly (She was Fonzie's GF in a few episodes of Happy Days.) and Grant Cramer (Killer Klowns). A killer calls into a Punk Rockish NYE Show saying he will kill at midnight in each time zone. I have watched this almost every year on NYE for over 30 years. I start it at 10:20 so it ends at midnight. And it is sooo cheesy and fun. And last , a true classic... The Poseidon Adventure-1972 Staring way to many great actors to list. Big ol Luxury Liner The S. S. Poseidon gets turned upside down by a freak big ass wave , and the survivors have to get to the stern of the ship to try and escape. An all time great disaster flick from the '70's. If you have never seen the original , (Poseidon was the remake. I enjoy the hell outa that one too.) and you like big budget action flicks , ya need to watch it.

Children of Men is such a good film. But out of sheer nostalgia I've gotta go with Billy Madison.

Manospondylus

As much as I want to say The Last Boy Scout I got to go with Billy Madison.

Amy the CheshireCat

I adore the Burbs, but Children of Men is a very good film with a certain sadness and really touching.

Miss Gigglebox

Burbs, hands down. Happy Gilmore is good but all his movies are so similar.

Miss Gigglebox

Best line of The Burbs: "Hey Pinocchio, where do you think you're going?" Love LOVE this movie

Sabbato_Puella

I'm conflicted between The Burbs and Happy Gilmore, but I'm choosing The Burbs.

Jennifer & Natalie

Definitely The Burbs!

CP

Early Adam Sandler movies are a no-brainer. Happy Gilmore after this!

Beardo2517

I think it would be if like once a month a Vip was drawn out of hat or something and got to pick a movie that hasn't been on a poll yet.

Jeanna Hatfield

That’s one reason I’m gonna change the structure and let you guys vote on more Monday type stuff. Friday polls (especially with slasher Saturday here) usually needs to be shorter movies, and comedies usually win more. But this coming year, I’ll do more genre specific and genre specific stuff that isn’t restricted to runtime, and I’ll just throw those up on Mondays so I have more time to edit. I don’t think many of you here will care if you onto get some of those 3-4 days early instead of a week of it has you voting on better quality movies. LoL

Jacob Harris

DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE GUM

Echo Moon

Gotta go Children of Men, it's such a poignant film. I have wondered about these polls, I have noticed that most of the time if there are mixed genres of films the comedies usually win. IMO I don't think it gives the other genres a chance to win and J is missing out on some really good movies in the other genres. I know everyone loves to see J laugh, so do I, however it is nice to see J express other emotions/feelings/thoughts besides humor. :)

The Burbs

Piticulmic

The expendables is good too, at least the first three for a one time watch only.

Hot Indie Media

Had to pick Billy Madison (1995) for this week's vote. It would be nice to close out the year with some good laughs!

WhatRaySay

Children of Men is way too good to let pass you by, easy vote for me although The Burbs is a really fun little movie

Bruce Willis and Daman Wayans are great together in The Last Boyscout.
