I think the whole album was recorded live (ofc took multiple takes and had to do other backup vocals) but yeah I think pretty when you cry was kinda a freestyle with her guitarist!! Her mind lol

I’m not 100% on this but i’m pretty sure she freestyles most of pretty when you cry, or it was one take. Idk but when I heard that I liked the song so much more, cause it felt really raw especially the bridge.

I did enjoy the album although the feel of the music was unexpected via the title... I get a high level of "bluesy" from the music. I think I would rate it high for atmosphere and it seems to encourage slow sway versus bopping.

From my knowledge of ultra violence. I’m not sure as a song if this is correct but from what I know the person who harms her is referencing alcohol and how her experience was with it as a child and as she grew up I think. - update, based on the bridge it is possible that she is actually referencing a cult like scenario. I think she was part of some underground thing at one point with a leader maybe not sure.
