True, eastern culture and anything relating to relationships that rely on a significant imbalance of power rarely make sense to me. It sort of reminds me of Nie Li and Ye Ziyun in Tales of Demons and Gods. Where the first time Nie Li meets her she falls in love but the second time she's more concerned with her family, status, and making sure that whoever she's with is strong enough. Hell she doesn't even want someone for a long time.

That is very well thought out and put together Sean. :) The context problems here are mostly tied into the culture.

Eduardo, basically he tried to rush her, she used her essence to evade and since she was up high she could just attack him whenever she wanted while he was constrained cause his essence was too deadly. She was then mad at him because she was expecting him to immediately beat her down. Mei after hearing her say, 'that's it' throws up a wall to block attacks and says the fight is over. I guess the significant part is that when Ash thought it would be a long drawn out fight and prepared for that he knew that wasn't what Jia wanted and when she was looking down at him with disdain he confirmed his own thoughts and didn't want to fight her anymore.

My honest answer here is... What your opinion on Vincent Van Gogh's starry night is? The situation with Jia is... curious. Some people will think it's a big deal, some won't, some will think it's a moot point. I could explain my own interpretation of the scene but... that'd ruin the character's own head space. :)

Same. I feel like the girls' reaction was a bit over-the-top. I kinda chalked it up to 'stop bothering Ash'. Seriously though, what's the problem with her wanting a serious match? If it bothered him so much he could've gotten a heart to heart as to why she wanted it.

Anyone else feel the fight with Jia in ch 32 was confusing? Like I know what was supposed to happen but the way it was worded didn't really explain the situation well? I felt like what Jia said in the forest resolved it well but for a while I didn't understand why Mei jumped in to stop it.

Nice pics. Also, excelent news on DD. On a side note, if you're looking to do something seriously different, how about Runner's ship (or just another book) finding a group of aliens that are seriously alien, rather than humans with a bit of theater putty on their faces.

Congrats. happy to hear that your output will increase, although we'll still have the age old problem of reading being much faster than writing - no way around that and we understand, lol Personally, I want CC 2 if you go to 3 at a time, but maybe that's just me. as a full-time author, you should go where the money is, meaning do sequels for top sellers first. I'll buy anything you write :)
