Why would Dio need air? He's a vampire. Also, that wasn't an oxygen tank, there was a blowtorch attachment on it, they used it to melt the lock. We didn't have oxygen tanks in the 19th century. So, Dio wouldn't have been able to get his hands on one.

I loved the music for part 2 especially the out of place dubstep. But I think the music design for part 3 is flawlesss. Like the moment where jotaro's stand grabs the bullet and the piano riff comes in. Makes me so hype!!

I didn't really know what else to call it honestly, but it is a fact that the bottom compartment was only written in after when Araki decided to continue past part 1. It was never there in the original manga/source.

also Avdol is basically the Japanesation of the arabic name Abdul, and he's a great character. He'd be this part's Speedwagon except he actually fights more than once, doesn't get a cool hat from a dead hamon master and doesn't found an international research foundation.

In the end of the first part (or the first chapterbof season 1 or however you wanna call it) Dio planned to cut off Johnathan's Head and attach the rest of his body to his own head (he was nothing more than a head at that time) and we thought he failed. Now it appears he didn't fail

Now.. the anime did Jotaro dirty!! He does not hate his mother! In the manga he never swore at her or called her a b*tch 😭 he only ever called her "woman". Yes he's supposed to be the "bad boy" type but he really is caring underneath

So simply put, Dio stole Jonathan's body during the shipwreck explosion from part 1. He then got away by hiding inside the bottom compartment of the coffin while Erina and the baby escaped in the top compartment. (This part with the coffin was re-written bc Araki "forgot" and had to explain how Dio ended up in the coffin) When Dio acquired a stand it also awoke stands in all the Joestars bc of Jonathan's body. (A little more is explained how exactly the stand came about in part 4)
