It's time!
🕑 Added 2024-11-05 01:51:52 +0000 UTCWe've had a new arc, new species and have pushed things in the story hard. But this part of the story is following The Inevitable from Undaunted Location to Undaunted Location, and they shall soon be off to another. But the question is... to where?
As before consider stories in a general area as combined with their fellows. The Pirates also have Danger Zone! Involved, RAK and Roll! gives us ALL our Centris shenanagins such as Herbert, The Dauntless, Harriett and Cats, Cops and C4.
There will be a second post after this one of lesser but still prominent importance. About our new and mysterious friends, The Vishanyan.

I’m right there with you. I think Wu really needs some time without supervision. Plus having something relatively bad happen to him would help drive home why the Undaunted are the way they are (and the Galaxy as a whole)

Exactly! He's just minding he own business, tries to ask some questions, gets 'invited' by a Mother and finds himself being taken on a wild ride that ends with something akin to Hoagie finding Wu having a subcutaneous tracker removed after it all. (Well, clearly my mind is running on tangents...)

Oh man, he gets lost in the super Gravidist section of the station. What if he gets press ganged into marriage but escapes (and is injured) and is rescued and healed by a kindly Synth Ascendancy priestess

Hmm. Wu on the run... That could make things interesting indeed. Throw in some Synth Ascendancy, Gravid Mothers and a wandering Pavoris... It could explain why Wu is so difficult to find. Why do I feel like he would actually enjoy being completely separated from the rest of humanity, if for no other reason than to get completely candid responses to his queries.

Just hope they don’t try to eat him! That’d be an interesting twist, someone random saves him from the plant cannibals. I’d love an adventure where Wu is totally separated from everyone/thing he knows. @kyle, can we have a “Wu solo” adventure, dude gets lost on the Spin and everyone is looking for him.

By the goddess, the fear and mischief of that woman. In addition to the Grand Huntsmistress and the BeeZerkers, I wonder if Wu will encounter the plant people. If he wants to observe non-human life, that seems to be about as far as he can get without actually becoming a sorcerer. (As far as I know.) "So, what are your opinions on Humans?" Young plant-girl. "They can all dehydrate and fall dormant! They invaded our home and destroyed my legs!" Grandmother plant. *Smacks the younger* "Well, they definitely caught us by surprise, as you can tell, but they were respectful..."

Considering that Octarin Spin is essentially Omega from ME2/3, I am REALLY interested to see Wu's reaction to the "Don't fuck with Aria/Minisi."

That’s what I was thinking, Octarin Spin is a different kind of seedy, plus it has an interesting sense of frontier justice that I don’t think Wu has seen before.

I'm thinking the same. It would be great to have Observer Wu seeing the seedier side of things, despite the relative order to the chaos that is Octarin Spin. I also agree with the thought that it just so happens to be on the way to their next destination. I was originally thinking that it would be good to have The Bounty Hunters show up in that 'on the way' capacity, and perhaps it could be that it occurs that way in succession, as Observer Wu makes his way to the absolute absurdity that is ~~Planet DC~~, I mean Capes and Conundrums...

Makes sense they’d go somewhere near Serbow, though I’m not sure where in relation that is, but I think Buzz on the Spin would be a fun one for seeing life on a huge old station, plus maybe it’s “on the way” to the next location. Plus maybe there’s more info about these new Vishanyan or a chance to run into them in a “neutral” environment. I’d imagine Zalwore would be towards the end when they go back to Centris, though maybe there’s some sort of emergency that sees them returning there sooner.
