Your comments on drowning almost perfectly mirrors mine - I have drowned before, but I got saved. Twice, actually. I am a good swimmer, but there were some unfortunate things that happened... And now, almost 15 years later, I can think of no other way to relieve yourself of the world other than drowning because it is somehow so fucking comforting. I do not condone it, I do not think it should be tested (it is actually fucking horrible) but after a while it is peaceful and therefore, from personal experience, I have to disagree.

Vex sensing dragons is because of the "Favored Enemy" ability that rangers get, they get to pick one enemy type to know more about and can track/find more easily. It works differently in the game than it does in the show.

To answer your question, because I don't think they explain it in the show well. But.. Vex is a ranger and in campaign she picked dragons as her favorite prey. I think the sound she hears is because of this.

The first fight is almost exactly as it happened and ended. With umbrasyl flying away with Vax and scanlan in him and grog flapping behind.

Yes, in the campaign the whole group watched this conversation... between Vax And RQ. In the campaign, he wasn't the only one to talk to RQ either, though. That bit was left out.
