Is it a lightweight or medium weight fusible fleece? Or does it just depend on your fashion fabric?
I substituted both on one of my tops: used a stable ponte knit instead of power mesh and also finished seams on a serger then press both to the side and stitch down, creating a boning “channel” out of the seam allowances. Will work with zig-zag finished seams as well. You can press them together the same direction as you would a dart, depending on seam location. Or press open, and sew each one separately, this will create a double boning channel so you’ll need double the bones.
Is there an alternative to using boning channels and is there an alternative to the power mesh ❤️
