Since 1976, the legendary resort has been welcoming gay men to this tropical paradise. Early residents named Key West "Cayo Hueso," which translates from Spanish to "Island of the Bones," or more commonly "Bone Island." Every July and December, there's also a gay nudist week called "Bone Island Bare It All." Nude pool parties, nude bar and club events, nude shopping excursions, and of course, plenty of nkd fun around the Island House resort comes included with the event pass. If you're not staying at Island House, lockers are available first come, first served.
As the oldest gay owned and operated menโs resort in the world, you might think Island Houseโs best days are behind it, but weโre happy to confirm thatโs not the case. They just finished a massive renovation with some pretty fabulous upgrades from their luxurious rooms to the sparkling clean spa area with gang shower, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The outdoor hot tub and heated pool are both open 24-7 too. Upstairs, you'll find the infamous Red Room with a small maze and large room showing adult movies. If you meet someone over drinks at the bar or on the nudist sun deck, the spa is a great area to get to know your new friends better ๐

Hey, we have been trying for two years to go but flights and hotels are too expensive for us. As an alternative, we tried for Tropical Heat this summer thinking it would be better budget wise but prices remained insane!! As such, we have not been but would love to and it must be fantastic if they can continue to offer it twice per year is our thought? Would love to know like you if anyone else has been to confirm!? Thank you! ๐

Hi Guys, just curious if you or any of your other readers have been to Bone Island in Key West held twice a year. I've seen it advertised and Island House is a sponsor hotel.

Yes, weโve heard great things about Equator and Alexanderโs which isnโt clothing optional and open to all LGBTQ+ not just men. Both are located on the same street so youโll know the location well!

Thanks for the information. I have stayed several times at Equator Resort but understand that hotel is closing in January, 2025. I will try Island House next time.
