Also: what map base do you use to superimpose the changing national borders so accurately? Or is that proprietary?!

Sometimes the actions in the video happens two quickly. I use the pause and slider to revisit attacks on multiple axes. But occasionally it would be good to ‘slow down’ the sequencing.

Glad you liked it! This one was started some time in December, so it took 5 months.

There are some on YouTube. The autotranslate function does seem to do a decent job. I'll check some of them out.

This is unrelated to the video itself, but I am curious to know if you ever saw the french documentary series "The Great Battles" (Les Grandes Batailles). Its historical accuracy is fairly solid, but its main appeal is that it is remarkably well made and narrated, and was made in the 1970s, when a lot of the protagonists of WW2 were still alive. I'm guessing you don't speak a lick of French, but it may be possible to get subtitles of it somewhere. It is a fantastic series and the fact that it didn't get known outside of France is sad, because I have yet to see such an efficient way of describing the events from all around WW2. This is amazing. I am right now reading a book about the battle of France, pausing and unpausing the video as I read. Everything fits. Descriptions about the 1st, 10th and 2nd Panzerdivision attacking west after Sedan, or the 5th and 50th British division attacking at Arras, all seemed very abstract. With the map, all these numbers and names neatly fit together. My book says the 18th infantry division is destroyed, lo and behold, it disappears on the screen. I can't imagine how long it took to make these videos, great job!
