My art always is drawn so dark whenever I draw a character with glowy bits lmao 🤣
So this ended up being my final design for Shoto 🙌 originally his tail body color was going to be blue (Blue Shark) and his chain design was going to be orange (Chain Sharks body’s are orange, with their chains being black. But his species mutation was going to alter his color slightly)
But in the end, after adding a few other shark design features (since his bloodline is supposed to be a very large mix of different shark mer) I opted for blue bioluminescence to show off his Lanturn shark qualities. His glow only happens when it is dark, and he does not have much control over it. However, it does fade versus brighten when he is either exhausted or excited etc. His orange (which I ended up making more red to match his hair) color, was moved to his fins instead

Haha he is very keychain shaped ngl. I think I’ll probably print him as one too after I get some other stock in 💙 glow in the dark tho 👀 I’ll definitely need to look into that one
