In season 1, ep 8, they established that Aegon and Helaena were married and had children already, as Helaena walks in after Alicent had admonished Aegon for r*ping the servant Dyanna, and Helaena asks where she is cause she was supposed to dress the children. But they never showed the children (or actors) in season 1.

In case you were still wondering, that first name Alicent mentioned in the sept when she was praying, Alerie Florent, is the name of her mother who died when she was younger. If I'm not mistaken, the books don't give a name to Alicent's mother, so this seems to be a show-only detail, which I find kind of interesting because in Game of Thrones time, the Hightowers are pretty much not heard about much but they are still around. In fact, Margaery and Loras' mother is actually a Hightower, and her name funnily enough, was Alerie.

Did they replace the actor for Jace? Or did the face blindness strike again? lol. In fairness to you, Jace looks very different from season 1 mostly due to his hair being grown out a little and wavy.

Yeah, George is never finishing the ASOIAF books. He is 76 and the most recent one came out in 2011. At least House of the Dragon is a finished story. The other series "A Knight of the 7 Kingdoms" isn't finished either, but there is much more of a solid outline for them to follow because most of the details of those characters lives are known.
