I approached the creature to check its wounds, but soon it got up and then tried to bite my hand. Maybe it was weak or my defenses were that high, but it didn’t hurt much. Not like I had any healing skills. The wounds weren’t that deep, but the creature was too weak to do anything. So, it probably will starve to death.
“I guess your only choice is to come with me, then I will have any reason to leave you with one of my… wait, you can’t equip a ring, so I can’t help you heal faster.”

This trait allows the Frostfang Sabertooth to completely ignore the harmful effects of the extreme cold that would incapacitate or kill most creatures. It can comfortably operate in sub-zero temperatures, survive frostbite-inducing environments, and even gain energy when exposed to powerful sources of cold or frost magic.
The area wasn’t that cold, but it wasn’t too warm either… winter was coming, after all, so perhaps that would explain how Glacius was able to defeat so many wolves. I wished that there was a skill somewhere to talk with animals… it would be quite interesting to have it.

Predator’s Pursuit: Enhance your movement speed and tracking abilities, allowing you to follow a marked target for 10 seconds without being slowed. Cost: 30 Mana.
Frost Guardian
Parameter: Endurance/Spirit - Increases your physical and magical defense by one point per level.
Active Skills - Ice Shield: Create a shield of pure ice that absorbs damage equal to your magic and spirit. Lasts for 10 seconds or until the shield is broken. Cost: 30 Mana.
Frozen Fortress: Create a large wall of ice, blocking paths or protecting allies from ranged attacks for 15 seconds. Cost: 50 Mana.
Icebound Stalker
Parameter: Stamina/Movement Speed - Increases your stamina by ten points and movement speed by 0.1 points per level.
Active Skills - Frost Step: Move silently over snow or ice, leaving no tracks and becoming undetectable for 10 seconds, even if enemies are nearby. Cost: 25 Mana.
Frozen Ambush: Set up a deadly ambush by freezing the ground beneath a target. When triggered, the target becomes immobilized for 5 seconds, and you gain a damage boost against them. Cost: 40 Mana.
I furrowed my eyebrows. How come this little kitten could use more magic than me? Well, it couldn’t use more magic per se, but it had access to more combat spells.
“Well, aren’t you a strong kitten? Do you want to take over the world with that much potential? Then you will use the world to obtain power and then use all the power in the world to obtain even more power. Rinse and repeat? Well, at least you will be of some use.”
I decided to sit down and then share the leftovers of breakfast with the kitten. Glacius began to eat it furiously. At the same time, I began to carve a pendant using bones of the giant armadillo. The materials were too good to use like that, but I didn’t have anything else. Once it was done, I added the healthy regeneration effect on it. It came at the adept rank, so it could restore four points of health per hour.
“Not bad for someone who doesn’t have the jeweler class. Actually, enchantments don’t have anything to do with that.”
I put the bone pendant that looked more like a collar now on Glacius, and he gladly accepted it. I looked around wondering if I should cook the wolves… they should be the property of the goblins, so if I eat them, they will probably complain later.
It seems that animals have more potential than humans since the parameters of the classes grant them two parameters at once instead of one. Being born with classes was also pretty unfair, but I decided to think that people still had the upper hand since we didn’t like to lick our hands or feet. At least most of us didn’t.

I decided to play around, but Glacius actually understood my words and followed my orders and summoned an ice shield in front of me… I blinked several times thanks to the surprise. It was pretty thin, but it was better than nothing.
Given that Glacius had more aptitudes than classes, it seemed that creatures like him would be able to get stronger without completing the trials. I wondered what would be necessary for that to happen… I had not a single idea about that process. In any case, I decided to put him on the back of my back and then move. The idea of getting an animal ride has been discarded and soon I was surprised.
“It looks like you aren’t Glacius, but Gracias… just kidding. What about Glacien? It doesn’t sound too hard, right? Man, I am more lonely than I thought… I need to be careful, or I will have the idea of getting more cats.”
Speaking of cats, I heard that in some histories, both cats and vampires often share themes of nocturnality, elegance, and mystery, making cats fitting companions for vampires. A vampire might have a loyal cat familiar or simply enjoy their enigmatic nature.
In some stories, vampires can shapeshift into cats or control them, further tying the two together. Cats may serve as spies or messengers for their vampire masters. Although they tend to be more common to be familiar to witches…
Still, I didn’t have to worry about that since in this world, there were a lot of things that didn’t make sense and went against my previous knowledge. A half vampire that only has weaknesses was one of those… although I was pretty sure at this point in time that I could obtain vampiric powers through the system. The question was, if an ordinary person follows the same route, what would happen?
‘I guess that their vampiric powers would get stronger… if that is the case, then why didn’t they try to take over the world by blocking the sun or something?’
In all the books and stories of vampires that I have heard of, they were always trying to do some crazy shit. Perhaps if I try to look for them, I will unlock an insane quest line or something. Still, it was too risky… I am not strong enough to deal with them. There is always a chance that I will meet my mother in this world too and I didn’t know what would happen if we met. I somehow doubted that we would have a heartwarming reunion…
‘Well, no use thinking about that… if that were to happen, I will leave such problems to the future me since the current me needs solutions to my current problems.’
