Agree, I love the priest. One of the things that makes Matt such an interesting character is that he is religious, and has to deal with his catholic guilt along with the sins he commits in service of good. And we finally see, after all this build-up and character development - Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk come face to face. The impact of that moment is just so good, and particularly because it's unexpected - to Matt as well as us. I can definitely forgive Foggy in particular not immediately recognising Matt. He really thought he knew who Matt is - and so much of what we see is what we believe to be true (plus, Hell's Kitchen seems like a very dark place :P). The really sad thing is that it's pretty clear Matt has a hard time making friends, he seems to have no-one else in his life he can really talk to, and so he probably wanted to preserve that with Foggy. I think there was a bit in one of the previous episodes where the media talked about both of Fisk's parents being dead... but now we find out that this isn't true, he's been hiding her away. Most likely for the reason we see - she can't really keep a secret any more. <3 the reactions as always!

I know it bothers you but not being able to recognize their secret identity is a staple of superheroes. It's not just Superman, it's the same with Batman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Catwoman...the list is endles. All us comic book nerds accept it as part of the mythology, I guess it's more difficult for normies to understand and accept it.
