Watching the outro and, while I know you worry about this anime setting society at large's opinion of anime back because that's just how people are, thank you for at least saying you know it's an elitist mindset. The idea that a medium has to choose between depicting magnificent, mature and heartwrenching stories or raunchy and ridiculous ones is archaic and one we as a society really need to discard. I really can't agree with you regarding the misogyny of the characters and the reviews. It'd be one thing if they did that sort of thing with women they happened to boink, that'd be an awfull thing to do, but they aren't. They are reviewing sex WORKERS and their establishments. They are also polite and friendly in their interaction with the prostitutes in question and the language of the reviews. In what sense is this different than, random example, a review of a dining establishment, beyond "sex is involved and somehow that turns it into a bad thing".
