Concept art for background and setting are mostly done!
I design the auditorium inspired by the Sydney opera house. But Instead of stylized the building I literally make it a seashell, to match with the aquarium theme.
Then we enter the auditorium and found a room before an entrance to the theater. I want this to feel like a luxury room for preparing yourself before the show. It will have a selling booth an drink corner (tho I didn’t' design it since it wont be showing much, based on the current board).
When we enter the theater, first thing we noticed is a chandelier made out of pearls. We realized that's a ceiling and the theater itself is deep down below, like under the sea. I made this concept based on my first impression when I was around 13 and walk into an IMAX for the first time XD It's so big and tall and the seats are ver narrow, like you sit at the endge of the cliff.
Lastly, I've contact Dylan, a 3D artist, to do some test for the setting and elements design for the film. He also made a 3D bust of Arthur and I love it!
