AltStore + AltServer 1.6.1b - MacDirtyCow Disease 🐮
🕑 Added 2023-02-09 19:52:59 +0000 UTCToday we have a small beta for AltStore: in case you missed it, a new sideloaded app – WDBRemoveThreeAppLimit – was released earlier this week. This app can remove the 3 app limit for users on iOS 16.1.2 or below via the MacDirtyCow exploit. In order to support this, we’ve added an advanced setting, “Enforce 3-App Limit,” that you can use by following these instructions:
- Download WDBRemoveThreeAppLimit.ipa from GitHub
- Sideload the .ipa with AltStore
- Open WDBRemoveThreeAppLimit and tap ‘Go’
- Return to AltStore and disable “Enforce 3-App Limit” from the Settings tab
- You can now install more than 3 apps at a time!
Keep in mind, the 10 App ID limit still applies, so there is still a cap on the amount of apps and app extensions you can install. If you run into issues getting this to work, we suggest rebooting your device and following the instructions again from the beginning.
We have also included a new “Clear Cache” button in Settings to address issues with AltStore taking up large amounts of disk space. Clearing the cache will remove all temporary files as well as backup data for deleted apps, freeing up valuable disk space on your device.
That’s not all – we also have a new AltServer Windows build that includes a small fix for users who have Advanced Data Protection (ADP) enabled for their Apple ID. Users should now receive a 2-factor verification code as expected when signing-in, after which they can continue using AltStore normally.

Installation Instructions
This AltServer 1.6.1 beta is only for Windows users. Make sure to uninstall previous versions first before installing this one so that AltServer updates correctly.
If you’re already using the AltStore beta, you can update to this version from the My Apps tab.

I'm getting a new and strange behaviour. Altstore had expired yesterday. I reinstalled it, and now uYouPlus_18.01.6_2.3.1 won't refresh. It states -1 days. But the bigger problem is when trying to refresh it, the whole Alstore becomes unavailable and has to be reinstalled again.

If your device is updated beyond "iOS 16.1.2 or below" (as mentioned in the post), this won't work. 16.3 is the most recent iOS / iPad OS version.

App complains about not having enough AppIDs when trying to refresh while using WDBRemoveThreeAppLimit and disabling "enforce 3 app limit". There’s obviously enough IDs because the app is already installed and working
