Introducing Delta Camera — the best way to take retro pics on your phone!

Today we have something very fun to announce, an all-new app — Delta Camera
Delta Camera is a stand-alone camera app that’s made specifically for emulating Game Boy Camera. We’ve been wanting to make this app for a little while as we’ve noticed a lot more people taking photos using their favorite retro hardware, like DSi, PSP, Nokia Phones, etc. However, one of our favorites things we’ve seen from this trend are the new Game Boy Camera carts with built in lenses — a great way to play around with both modern and retro hardware. So we wanted to play off that concept and really utilize the iPhone’s camera capabilities in combination with the playful, retro feel of using Game Boy Camera.
In a nutshell, Delta Camera gives you all the basic capability you’d want while using Game Boy Camera:
🔄 Front & back camera
☀ Manual exposure + zoom
🤳 Camera Control support
And this is just the first beta!

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a skin for that on Delta Styles, I’ll see if I can find the link for you, but if not just go to delta styles and search the name of the controller and it should come up

Is there any way to move the game screen up to the top of the phone screen when using a Bluetooth controller? I bought a neat little 8bitdo phone clip gadget than holds a micro controller on the bottom half of my phone screen but I can’t use it with delta because delta automatically centers the screen when using an external controller so part of the game screen is blocked by my the controller. I have searched on how to move the game screen upwards with no luck so I’ve started using RetroArch… which is rough compared to delta. Please give us the option to choose game screen location when using external controllers, automatic screen centering is fine but we should be able to adjust it as needed to the top as well. I can’t be the only one with one of these phone clips for a controller having the same issue. Anyways, delta is great, wish I could keep using it

Will this eventually emulate the printer so we get the full borders when exporting the images? It's the one reason I keep my game boy printer around

I am so impressed with this creative thinking to make this a reality and also the Delta emulator you guys created. Keep doing what you’re doing. Really appreciate you helping re-create some of the magic from that era. So many good memories and great way to retro capture photos and bring them into the future.

Indeed, you can technically do that in this beta with the camera control! But we’re also planning to add an option in the UI to do that for devices without camera control 👌

Love this and much more covert than walking around the city with my Game Boy! One thought, since this is running on iPhone, would there be a way to use the other built-in rear lenses, similar to how you've added functionality to swap to the front-facing? It would be awesome to be able to shoot with the Telephoto and Wide lenses, in addition to the default Ultra Wide.

Hello, I bought the altstore subscription to be able to install more than 3 apps in altstore, but the message tells me that I must wait 7 days for the Apple IDs to be activated I thought that buying the subscription removed that limit I would really appreciate it if you could advise me on that topic
