I could see cultivation in the dream world being very expressive. Literally manifesting constructs that embody their growth to battle.

Just a suggestion, but it might be cool if the characters names are different and their identities aren't explicitly stated, so we can wonder who is who and be along for the ride as they recover their identity, maybe with equal time given to both reincarnations before it becomes more obvious which one is Ke Yin
