- We said back in February that we were getting ready to phase out our $3/month tier in March and (embarrassingly) forgot to follow up on this. This will simplify our tiers and make it easier to give the fewer tiers their benefits. In short, we will be (actually!) removing this tier within the next 1-2 weeks. If you're currently a Privacy Promoter, you can downgrade/upgrade your plan before the changes take effect.
- Our consulting services are becoming a much more formal & well-established offering, and the monthly meetings we offer Anonymous Allies patrons blends very closely to consulting, which has confused a few members. We don't quite know how we're going to deal with this issue yet, but it's at least worth mentioning so you all are aware it's something we're working to deal with. Expect more formal changes/updates in the near future.
- Finally, we want your feedback on a possible patron-only community. Some of you may already know about our patron-only channel on Discord, but A) This requires using Discord & B) This requires using Discord. Please leave some thoughts below on a possible platform you'd like to see us add. Current considerations are Signal & Matrix, but we are open to other suggestions. (Telegram is NOT a consideration)

Good feedback. Yeah, Matrix & Signal seem like our current best options at the moment. Element is really the only Matrix client I've (Henry) had even okay success with on iOS, it's not great though
I do enjoy Discord, and in my case, it would be really cool to have a more privacy friendly alternative, but I don't think there are any good choices. Signal still depends on revealing my number. Also I really don't want to use it for community features. It's my #1 app for personal communication with people I know, and I want to keep it that way. Right now I think Discord still is the best choice, but if anything changes, I'd rather see it on Matrix (is there any good iOS app that really works well yet?) than Signal :)
I would steer clear of Signal since not all of us have access to virtual phone numbers and exposing our real phone numbers would come with privacy and safety concerns... So Matrix.
