Addendum to post about Patreon's new charging system
🕑 Added 2017-12-08 02:49:50 +0000 UTC Actually, after a little more thought, I'm going to adjust things so you all aren't getting screwed. I'm going to do the math to figure out pledge levels that, AFTER FEES, are equivalent or close to what the reward values are now.When I made this Patreon page I said that a $20 pledge would get a movie review and a shout-out in a CTA, for example. Now it'll be $27+ a month for those things, and that's not what you signed up for. So before the next charge goes through I'll try to make it so the amount out of your pocket is roughly the same as it is now.

Technically it does exceed $20, but it doesn't exceed $21. The change is minuscule. It's like paying taxes for something i actually bought so I honestly don't see why anyone is freaking out over this.

Wait James, honey no that's not the right math...it's 2.9%, not 29%. So (as per Ash bc God knows I can't do math: if you have a $20 pledge, you do: 20+ ((20 x .029) + .35) = 20.93
