That wasn't something important. Actually, kind of. They asked him to return for a scene from Saw VII but he couldn't since it interfered with filming for Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

I agree about the janitor being put in the torture trap because he smokes cigarettes. That is definitely one of the weakest excuses used in the whole series about why someone deserves to die. Shouldn't Jigsaw also have included all alcoholics, smokers and general drug users? Also...looking back on these movies a decade later, I find it hard not to be incredulous about how somebody could put together these crazy traps and timing of videos/audio playing. Like there isn't one occurrence where the wrong person listens to a tape or sees a video haha.

Jigsaw deciding Hoffman needs to go because he "delights in brutality" is the BIGGEST eyeroller for me. Like you point out in the KC, John's insistence that Timothy is a human being clearly doesn't jive with how much he loves putting him in the rack. Hoffy is less of a hypocrite so I guess that's bad?
