Thanks again & news regarding the Patreon's privacy
🕑 Added 2018-08-13 20:35:03 +0000 UTC Hi everyone! Just wanted to thank all you awesome patrons who showed up yesterday for our shitfest livestream, haha. If you weren't there and are wondering why I called it a shitfest, we had a TON of problems with YouTube detecting copyrighted content and shutting down the stream. I felt like a refugee group hopping around between different channels and streaming services just trying to watch a movie with y'all. But we did manage to watch 5 movies together - The Void, Anaconda, Ice Cream Man, House on Sorority Row, and Night of the Demons. It was a total blast, we had a lot of fun jokes come up (oh, sea pig), and I'm hoping I can do it again some time soon.The other news I wanted to share in this post is that I've made the amount pledged to me here private. This is something that a lot of Patreons do and I decided to follow suit as the pledged amount continues to grow, because I'd rather people make their pledge based on how much THEY want to commit than based on how much other people are already committing. I think a lot of people don't realize the costs that go into running a business, which Dead Meat is, and/or don't think about how taxes work to take out a big chunk of my earnings, and might wrongly assume I'm editing these videos from inside my private jet parked atop my private yacht in the Caribbean.
I just wanted to let you all know because I try to be as transparent as possible in everything I do (I realize the irony of saying that as I make the pledge amount private). Hope it doesn't rub anyone the wrong way. Thanks so much for your support and I'm excited for more fun Patreon times ahead!
