What are some of your favorite Commentary Tracks?
🕑 Added 2021-03-18 19:16:49 +0000 UTCHi Patrons! I know I randomly ask questions like this from time to time, and sometimes nothing ever comes from them. It's just because I'll have ideas for a project, and those projects may or may not eventually take off.
THIS ONE, though, I think I'll be committed to in 2021 - I want to post highlight reels of the commentary tracks to the channel publicly, to give people a little flavor of them. Editor Josh just put together one for HAUNT, and I'm kind of reminded of Drunk Disney as I look it over.
To this end, what are some of the most memorably hilarious commentary tracks you've listened to? To me, they all blur together, so it's hard to pick any out individually - but maybe there's a few that have stuck with you as being exceptionally entertaining. Let me know! Thank you!

The Boy, Tusk, and Tammy and the T-Rex are all classics. I also really liked The Ritual, and Sorority Babes in the Slime Ball Bowl-O-Rama (with you hyping up Lynnae Quigley and then her never getting topless).
Danielle Santana
The Boy, Piranha 3D, Bloody Birthday, and Zombeavers.
Tess Danielson
Bloody birthday, The Boy, The Open House and Deep Blue Sea
jromb0 Productions
I love all of them James! I became a Patreon in March and I love it so much! Keep up the awesome work!
Riley Cassidy
Chernobyl Diaries and The Open House are ones I've listened to multiple times!
Victoria Menendez
Bloody Birthday is my absolute favorite one, always listen to it on my birthday 😄

The Boy (feat. Beth Radloff) Bloody Birthday Deep Blue Sea Scary Movie Scary Movie 2 (Hope you guys change your mind and do a commentary for SM3)
Alex Dunkley
I completely agree. SM1 and Sm3 are the best without a doubt. I think SM3 is the first one I saw as a little kid lol My guilty pleasure is SM4 tho, I love Saw and the Grudge so it’s fun for me haha
JamesLikeWrestling13
Who hasn't been hoping for SM3, it's the best one along side the original.
JamesLikeWrestling13
Oh Tusk without a doubt
Signy Cullen
The best I've ever listened to is the Cast commentary on Dog Soldiers (only on the British version of the DVD. The American version has an okay commentary with the director).
Reverend_Krenke
The scary movie movies and The boy for sure. Maybe even some tusk, make the Depp seen shorter and more bearable lol
HUlkbeef
My holy trinity are Tusk, Bloody Birthday and The Boy. “Grams of Boy” is one of the funniest bits in Dead Meat history and is one of the few things that makes me laugh every time I watch it.
Conor Stephenson
The Car, Bloody Birthday, Zombeavers, Most Likely To Die (I barely remember it but anything with Chauncey is great). I'd definitely advise against The Boy and The Open House because despite Beth and Joel, they're some of the most boring movies you could ever pick.
Shaye Fleming
Insidious, both Scary Movies and Bloody Birthday are my favorites.
Joe Croft
TBH, I haven't listened to any of the commentary tracks yet. I don't think I've listened to any commentary track of any kind ever as I'm afraid it will be distracting. I'll have to give one a try and find out!
Michelle Darer
Hello Mary Lou for sure!
James W
bloody birthday, and veronica
Ezra G
The Boy and Chernobyl are ones that stand out for me.
SassyPants Gregorich
HAUNT!
Takship
Loved Prom Night 2
Jon Hoskins
Bowl-O-Rama and Bloody Birthday for sure are some of my favorites
Tarisa Earle
So many but the first one that came to mind was “Hush.” Commentaries are why I’m a Patreon 😬
Ginger
Bloody Birthday, 100%
Jacob McCreary
I liked Scary Movie and Would You Rather. But all are good!
Scott Hill
Wait... is this question about commentary tracks in general, or the ones Dead Meat has done? Because I feel foolish now.
Alex Dunkley
Ah ok. I thought you meant Dead Meat did commentary tracks for those. I think he’s looking to see which of HIS commentary tracks we like the best. But I would like to see James and Chelsea watch Evil Dead for a commentary track
Brock shipley
My favorite was sleepaway camp.
Scott Hill
I’m supposing Rifftrax doesn’t count as a commentary track, but those are funny... A more serious answer, though, is 1999 The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Say what you will about his less-than-great movies (Ugh, G.I. Joe), but Stephen Sommers is hilarious because he will happily point all the mistakes in his movies, riff on moments that didn’t work, have reoccurring jokes and funny anecdotes and just a great sense of humor. Come to think of it... his commentaries kind of remind me of Kill Counts!
Wesley Hall
Porno, the boy, DOOM, bowl-a-rama
Mike Z
Sleepaway Camp for sure.
Jonathan Vasquez-Ferreira
Piranha 3D, Zombeavers, and Deep Blue Sea are in a class of their own. Whenever I want to show someone a fun time talking over a movie, I always turn to these three.
Jillian Tukes
Piranha 3D is one of the funniest to me but I also loved Backcountry and Bloody Birthday
Ariana Padilla
Oh and ofc Bloody Birthday
Ariana Padilla
Zombeavers, The Boy, Porno(If you could even find a way to show clips lmao), Tammy and the T-Rex, Would You Rather, The Ritual, The Babysitter are all some of my favs. Probably best to have a nice mix of serious and silly movies
Gabe Schill
The one’s that stick out are Bloody Birthday, Sleepaway Camp, and Piranha 3D. I think the best ones are when you two like them even if the movie isn’t like high quality. Although I like all three of those movies
Miikka Mononen
They've done several, even! With Campbell, Raimi and Tapert.
Iain Kerr
Bloody Birthday, Tanny and the Teenage T-Rex, The Boy, The Car Those are the ones that immediately come to mind for me.
Anthony Longo
Bloody Birthday and definitely Deep Blue Sea(the line "the shark just turned on the over, greatest movie I've ever seen" I died laughing) and of course Soroity Babes in the Slime Ball Bowl-O-Rama. Give Uncle Impy some shine! 😂
Rebel D
For me is going to have to be(The Car) but you guys do such a great job it's a really hard pick!!!
Chris Cullen
Scary Movie, Piranha, Tusk, The Boy, Bloody Birthday, Puppet Master, Most Likely to Die, Circle, Would You Rather, Zombeavers! I’m sure I’m missing more.
Alex Dunkley
Wuhhh....? They did tracks for Evil Dead? I need to see those
Chayse (@AGuyNamedChayse)
The scary movie 1 and 2!
Randall Millican
I loved the babysitter, the boy, zombeavers Tammy and the T. rex but my all time favourite is bloody birthday
min0uet
Bloody Birthday is a favorite of mine, i watched it with my friend and we were both HOWLING. the bit where you get excited about seeing a guy's ass onscreen was hysterical, and of course everything you say about Curtis as well
Austin Arminio
i just started being a patron a few months ago and have been burning through the tracks. My favorites so far are Hush (2016), The Babysitter (2017), The Car (1977), The Boy (2016), Tusk (2014), and Open House (2018)
Alex Dunkley
Personally, I love the Scary Movie commentary tracks. (I’ve been secretly hoping for SM3) I feel like I have more fun with commentary tracks that are for movies that are either not good or meant to be funny. (Zombeavers, Tammy and the T-Rex, Porno and so on)
Del
The Scary Movie commentary tracks are pure gold on their own ! I also loved Gremlins and Pirahna 3D personally
Nate Brennaman
The Boy, Tusk, Tammy and the T-Rex
Miikka Mononen
I love the group commentaries for the Evil Dead movies, especially Evil Dead 2.
