Yes!! The gun moment in the first movie was also just so funny. He's using all these tools and elaborate torture methods and then he just reaches down and pulls out a handgun. The abruptness and unexpectedness of it was fucking hilarious and my friend and i had to pause the movie because we were laughing too hard

Nah I really thought the movie was rushed as hell. I was just there watching the flashback scene and then bam we’re almost at the end of the movie and I was like wtf?! That made me more mad than actually being scared of clowns lol I liked the movie but honestly they need to work on that because even the brother dying off screen was a slap to the face. I’m excited to see the next film though

I have to agree but I will still support his work going forward. It would be completely understandable to just say he doesnt make his work political and will leave that to directors that are better suited for it. Some people know how to make political statements in film, some people really, really don’t. It’s fine to acknowledge that and stray away but to say no horror should be political is a little too much of a blanket statement

what doesn’t sit right with me ab leone is him just randomly tweeting about how the terrifier series wasn’t and is never meant to be “political”. no one was really questioning the political aspects of this series anyways, and him then making a blanket statement and saying horror as a genre shouldn’t involve politics is even weirder to me. horror has always pushed and experimented on the social and political boundaries of whatever era the film was made in. if he doesn’t understand that, idk why he would even get into the genre in the first place. i’m not saying ALL horror films should have some type of political stance sewn throughout the story - his stance was just really offputting and came off as extremely tone deaf considering the genre he’s working with.

I appreciate all the hard work Damian Leone and his crew have put into these films. And Sienna is an awesome final girl and art is a fascinating character. But the kills in this movie were just too much for me. Don’t get me wrong I love me some gore. But the excessive violence just takes me out of it. But because im fascinated by the ideas and story I will be watching the 4th one.

Great Kill Count, y'all! I am surprised though that you didn't bring up the strange fact that, while this is certainly a "Christmas movie", 0% of its runtime actually takes place on Christmas Day, or even Christmas Eve. We get specific mentions from different characters all throughout the film that Christmas Eve is still days away--this HAD to have been intentional, right?! It leads me to think that T4 will likely *also* be a Christmas movie, taking place immediately after T4. So far, I don't think I've seen anyone else make this connection, but it stands out to me every time I've rewatched it (3 times in theaters, twice at home). Anyone else have thoughts on this?
