Ah The Last of Us. A game so brilliant to date it's the only game I broke my 'no zombie' rule for. A game that tackled heavy thoughts and emotions and wasn't afraid to show us the darkest of humanity. And at the end, we where simply asked to ponder, "Did Joel do the right thing". Shame it's sequel is so lazy, so ham-fisted, and working so hard to shove it's moral down our throats (a moral it doesn't even apply uniformly. But hey, like that wannabe Wisecracks says, we can't be bound to only one way of thinking. Our world views and beliefs have to be able to change at any time) that it retroactively destroys the first one and makes it just as bad. And never forget, Neil Druckmann apparently agrees with the idea Joel was in the wrong when he made Last of Us Part II, but no longer does due to becoming a father himself. So not only did he create a game that kills this franchise, but ruined any hope I had for Naughty Dog going forward, he doesn't even stand by it.
