Will always have love for this channel. Discovered your channel by accident back in 2017 when I was looking up Friday the 13th stuff. This channel has basically been my reliable therapy at the end of this week. As I mentioned before I had a health concern and it got to the point I got depressed and I stepped back from youtube completely content wise. I'm just now catching up on what I missed...like 5 months worth. But before that I was always on the videos the moment it released. Came along way, also James stop being so hard on yourself, there's a humbleness to each era of you in the kill counts. Thanks killing was great cause I feel like that movie broke you enough that you actually loosened up after...noticed that way back. Thank you for everything and too many more successful years in whatever you and the Dead Meat team do! Being 37 as of 2025 38 this February 24th I also love how your references and especially wrestling references are the same time era....gotta love a good attitude era joke....and to Zoran my mom called them Tremors as well! Thank you!

Noah Lopez

I have been following your channel since your first Kill Count. I always thought that your channel was a fun watch during my breaks in between classes or on my breaks. Now I am always having your video open. Ever since you provided how the movies were made, you have inspired me to continue my acting career and my training. You are also the people that I can rely on to provide my comfort content. Thank you for being such good people and reminding us that we are a community that should be enjoying the art that you cover. Congrats on 500 episodes. I am looking forward to seeing what your future brings.

Dead Meat

Aw that's so sweet. I'm honored to be a small part of such a happy memory and day for you!

Dead Meat

Thanks for noticing when we spruce up Billy! I always love to give him something special.

Whorror Icon

You, Chelsea, and the whole team have been such a tremendous inspiration. I've been a long time fan of yours and I'm so happy to see how much y'all have grown and how much cool shit you're doing. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

JD

This might get buried, but I just wanted to say you guys do SO so so so much for horror fans, for horror creators and performers, and so many people. You all truly have made an impact in this community and beyond (including my life). Thank you for constantly reminding us to be good people and for encouraging us to love horror in so many different ways. Here's to 500 more! Cannot wait to see what the next few years bring. Love you guys, Some other James :)

StarWolf_88

I'M BACK! I had a unfortunate run in with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma earlier this year which sidelined me and after watching you guys since the start in 2017 I fell off badly to focus on my health...then I find out you are doing your 500th Episode! I had to get back on here! Thank you guys so much for just being my outlet since 2017. The Kill Counts have always been there as my weekly or bi weekly therapy getaway from my real world! Love you guys and keep doing what yall do! We love yall!

Matt Egbert

This is the closest thing to a Dead Meat documentary we'll ever get, and it has now become my new favorite video (outside of the Royal Rumbles). What I've always loved the most about James is how honest he is with us all. He doesn't treat us like outsiders; we're all a part of the Dead Meat family. This video really showed how much passion everyone involved has for their craft. As someone who has been with the channel since 2019, it's truly inspirational to see how much it has grown. I look forward to whatever the next few years may bring!

Dear Dead Meat, To make a very long story short (update: I failed) it was 2020, and I was working as a home health&hospice nurse. In 2017 I had developed horrendous PTSD. I was constantly anxious, I was having nightmares and generally was just tense and worried. I was also having a hard time watching horror movies (movies in general honestly, it as a rough time). I really missed being able to connect with stories in the way that I had previously, especially since that connection had always been really healing. But it’s like that creative, joyful side of my brain was just completely shut off. I remember talking to a close friend of many years who also loved horror. She suggested I watch a little show on YouTube called the Kill Count, she was hooked and thought I’d like it too! I started with Final Destination 2, as a proud millennial (1991) I had stayed safe on the roads for many years in part because of this excellently stupid movie. The greatest thing happened. I started laughing! Something literally shifted in my brain, and for the first time in a while I just felt….happy :) it was like sitting with a friend, sharing memories, talking about how awesome horror is, and just finding joy again vs just dissociating, which was such a reprieve in a truly scary moment in the world. I binged all the final destination episodes and then I discovered the PODCAST😍and basically got hooked on the whole channel from there! Anyway, not to get too sappy but y’all are awesome and have had a hugely positive impact on my life! That evening of laughter was really healing and a turning point for me. I’m in a way better place now, I’m finally working on my horror novel again, I also finally have seen ALL the Saw movies, (Hot Saw Summer, including Sawvivor was🤌🏼🤌🏼😭)and I now have the perfect sound bites for mentally mocking PITA doctors😊 Anyway, I still look for alerts from Dead Meat every week, and tune in to the channel to listen while I’m driving to visits. This is such an amazing community y’all have built. I gotta tell you, that last be good people got me🥲❤️

Dead Meat

Peer pressure and confused looks beat the pop out of me :(

BedsideJoint

Loved this special episode - I'm happy you cover the variety of materials that you do! Love seeing how you continue to grow and evolve. Not everything draws me in, so many surprising things have - Royal Rumble, the awards, and just horror in general. Used to hate gore and slashers, but you've turned me around on the art and science that goes into the kills. Thanks for all you guys do! Congrats on a huge achievement, happy 500th!

Obviously_a_Handle

Watching this was such a walk down memory lane! When I started watching this channel I was in my mid-twenties and just out of grad school, working a job that was killing me, and trying to figure out what the hell I was supposed to be doing as a "grown up". Now I'm a thirty-something with a spouse, child, dog, and in a happy career. Watching this retrospective, I am reminded of all of the wonderful and challenging moments The Dead Meat channel has been with me for and I am so grateful. From the anxiety of moving to a new job to wedding planning, moving houses, losses in my family or trying to manage becoming a new parent, James, Chelsea, and Zoran have been in the background bringing me joy or distraction when I have needed it. I love horror and it has always been a fun fascination but this channel makes it so much more. I can't wait for 500 more Kill Counts and will appreciate every one! Thanks Dead Meat Team!!

Jonathan Correa

I think my first Kill Count was Saw and been a subscriber since 2018 and now after 7 years and hearing y'all mention it a million times a Pateron member. Thank you guys for giving this horror junkie so much joy throughout the years.

Dustin Ward

So watching this I learned 2 things. 1, the first kill count started on my birthday, and 2nd, my first video was Friday Part 1 recount, which I just learned, or at least remembered that Friday was the first kill count

Strawmii (Berrie)

This entire video is absolutely endearing. I love you guys at Dead Meat a lot. You got me into horror, used to be super anti-scary movies before the channel to the point i cried and had to get therapy after watching The first Conjuring because I wasnt able to sleep. Not only that you sparked an ongoing fixation with practical effects, multiple recurring horror icons, references and pop culture. As of October 2025, horror movies is about 80% of the media i consume and I am absolutely in love with it. Im in my mid 20s, and I started watching Dead Meat at 21, during one of the most difficult years of my life. I have been with the channel ever since around the Leatherface killcount. I went from being horrified and disguted, to curious but too scared to watch the actual movies, to now tuning in almost every monday to know what movies to look foward to and pestering my gf and friends to get together to watch things unspoiled. Dead Meat has in a way grown alongside me as a person and as a horror fan, I am so proud of everyone on the team. Youre all lovely and incredible people. Cant wait for more!

Kyubi_Max

Thanks For The Birthday Present

King Doosey

That was an incredible episode. Thank you so much, James and Dead Meat corps. You all put in so much work. And your product is just good BUSINESS!!!

Meghan Flynn

I subscribed back in Aug 2020, but I know I had been watching before that. I was really afraid to like watching horror but every time I watched a new video, it became more apparent this was something I loved too. I finally got the courage this year to purchase Frightmare tickets and I really hope yall are there. Much love❤️

Bowie

I loved this episode! Such a fun trip down memory lane. I'm excited to check out old videos I didn't know about!

jane

omg, so great! we love you james! keep up the great work!

RedxSoloCup

How have i never realized Chucky slowly crawled out.

Shane A Brown

James, you’re from Michigan. Do usually say soda or was that just because most people nationally would be confused if you said Pop Rocks and Pop?

Sam Konkel

So, where’s the early release of The Quarry?

Jaako Lang

Now I’m waiting for a Dead Meat produced movie!!!

James Feeheley

Loved this. Haven’t watched them all but do my best. Thank you for continuing to be awesome.

hales

this is the best video you’ve ever done james — also you’re the man for hyping up chelsea every chance you get!

Mr. Book

I cannot express how happy I am to see this in depth look into the Dead Meat channel, Kill Counts, and the team. I've been watching since 2018 when I got bored and wondered if there was such things as "killcounts" in horror movies. I meet James and his channel. I've been hooked ever since and have felt like the entire Dead Meat community is my heartfelt horror family. Thank you so much for what you do and continue being good people.

Logan DeMilia

This channel brought me to horror back in 2017, I started this channel when I was 8 and now I’m 16 so this channel is probably one of the most important things to me

James Elmore

I've been a fan since the beginning and your show has been a huge inspiration to follow my passion of gore practical effects like the ones you cover in the show. I cannot thank you enough

Dapper Plapper75

8 years, I was way to young to watch these videos but I saw Friday the 13th and was happy, thanks james

Tom Schwarz

Damn, this video made me realize I’ve been watching you since the very beginning

davidicus

Thanks for all the joy you've brought into my life. It's helped to bond my son and I, and all of the shows are something we eagerly look forward to. I wish you, Chelsea Rebecca, and the whole gang the best always. Cheers 💙

McDick700

Always been a huge horror fan, and I started watching kill counts before I was allowed to actually watch the movies covered. I kinda spoiled some of the Saw movies for myself, but those are fun counts, and I still had a great time watching 3-X for the first time recently. I love when I can finish a movie (or game) and keep enjoying it through its kill count. In fact, getting to watch the Outlast count was my primary motivation to press on and actually finish that terrifying fucking game. I love this genre, and I love this channel. Never stop doing what you love, never stop improving, and never stop being good people (goes for everyone who sees this, too).

Oxly

YEAHHHHHHH KILL COUNT KILL COUNT!!!!! this channel brought me into the horror fold by finally piquing my interest in movies and i've had a fantastic time!! thank you dead meat!!!!

Alice o

I started watching after me and ex husband separated & divorced. It kept me sane and gave me something to watch while at home alone. I got my sister into the channel also.

Marcus Baxter

Crazy I just found out about the pateron ive been watching for so long im a member now!

Klaudia

Been here since Practical Folks, I remember seeing the annoucment over there about James's new channel and I've been following ever since. Although I've been watching the Kill Count more on and off recentley the Podcast has come to be one of my favourite things on Youtube and hearing how well the Kill Count is doing from there is always so pleasant to hear. I grew up with this channel, I'm turning 22 this year and I remember watching the beginning of Dead Meat when I was still in elementary school so seeing this milestone is such an exciting thing and I truly wish you James and Chelsea the best.

flying dren

I found this channel when I was looking for info on the Mist. Watched everything in like a week and have watched everything as it came out ever since. I'm so honoured to have seen this channel grow

Byron Caguana

Natalie Lester

Thank you, Dead Meat Team!!! This was incredible to watch, I've been a loyal fan for several years now and getting to learn more information on y'all's production is amazing!!!! Can't wait for 500 more!!!

Rebecca Taba

I've been watching since the very beginning 🙂

Steven Price

Just so you know James, I mostly watch your stuff on Patreon because I can't stand YouTube's constant and unprovoked ad interruptions, but I'm gonna make an effort to watch the stuff that's on YouTube, like the sponsor segments, now that I know how much work you put into them. Never thought I'd feel bad about not wanting to be sold something. But I might've used one of you RayCon promos in the past, and they are pretty good. Keep doing what you love doing, and I'll keep supporting you and being good people.

Nick Cantoni

Love this so much! Thank you dead meat for keeping me entertained over the years! ❤️

Spinn

I'm not sure when I found this channel. I'm just glad I did.

Fabricio Vele

The kill count has been a gift for horror lovers since it started. Thanks to the dead meat team for everything.

Brody Lyle

Haven’t even finished the vid yet but firstly best dollar ever spent… and James and dead meat in general have done so much good for my life bringing entertaining content to my big screen… thanks James

Andrew Seaton

Team this video is sooooo good. The history, the self-lampooning, the walk through DM’s history… I’ll be rewatching this A LOT! Congrats on the success

Blue

been here since almost the beginning, and im so happy to see you grow!!!! i'll be here till the last kill count episode. You guys have been awesome, and im so excited to see where you go from here.

Cal Robertson

Been here since the IT miniseries kill count! Love all the work the Dead Meat team puts out and never stop!!!!! Much love from Australia ❤️ ❤️

Artibius

This was really cool to watch

RocknSockm

I am one of those who did not like the horror genre most of my life. I think my first episode was The Belko Experiment. There are still horror movies I wont watch, but I have definitely grown affection for these movies. I love the style and humor and just everything you guys have done. I always love embracing change and growth in channels. As long as you guys keep making videos, I will be there watching the day they come out. Be Good People!!

the ladder

So proud to be here since the OG Friday counts!

Mike’s Film Fix

Drake

The Kill Count means so dang much to me. I love you guys, you've literally kept my sentence going. Getting the semi-colon tattoo next week.

Carmen Crisler

Wow!!! So much Dead Meat has happened!! I am 100% one of those fans who was introduced to the horror genre by the channel. I started out watching Kill Counts before I watched the movies because i was too scared to go in without knowing the plot, and now I've built up my horror courage thank to you guys. Thanks so much for everything you do. You're good people:)

Jay (ThePinkTribble)

🥰🥰🥰

Zap The Penguin

Started watching during the OG Friday the 13th kill counts this channel has gotten me into horror and its so crazy to me that it has been going on this long, I would remember wanting to wake up early on fridays to watch the newest episode. PeterTheParker

Just joined today, I loved this episode, worth the money!

Will Pitcher

Been a fan since the nightmare series, wild to see the years laid out like this. Crazy cool, everyone on the Dead Meat team absolutely… kills it! (Sorry for the pun)

Katherine Smith

Been keeping up with Dead Meat since 2018, and this was such a nostalgic episode. This team has continued to grow and show nothing but love for the genre, which I’m sure has had a butterfly effect on the genre becoming more mainstream and recognized by the academy. So much love to James and the whole team, keep it up and can’t wait to see everyone at Saw Con. 💕

Strandster

Happy 500 Episodes of The Kill Count!!!

Henry Alvarez

Got the patron for this! and episodes in the future:D

Joel

I watch the leprechaun episodes any time I’m feeling down and it always picks me up 😂😂

Joel

Congrats on 500!

Liam Orchard

The Slumber Party Massacre episodes are my comfort watches. I’ve watched them dozens of times. I love them , sorry that others don’t feel the same.

Jermania

I started watching Dead Meat back in 2018. I wanted to know how many people Jason killed across his franchise. So I typed "number of kills in the Friday the 13th series" and the rest is history. I didn't get into horror because of Dead Meat, but I did get into Dead Meat because I love horror. Also, shout out to James for introducing me to the SpookyRice channel. I just wish he didn't ignore me on the Monday streams, but as many people are commenting during them, I get it.

MalcadortheSigilite

Absolutely awesome count. James, Chelsea, Zoran and the rest of the love your work and passion. Thanks for the 500 and hopefully more than another 500.

Patrick Abel Loya

James mentioned in this that the kill count debuted around the release of the Friday the 13th video game which helped with the views and drew eyes to the kill count. So i wanted to tell a little story about my history with the kill count. So i started watching around 2021, I was just sitting at home and randomly started thinking of the Friday the 13th movies. I was mostly thinking of the kills. Friday the 13th is the franchise that turned me into a horror fan. With friday the 13th part 6 being the first horror movie i ever watched at age 8. Well somtime in 2021 i wanted to see if anyone on youtube has done an updated ranking of jason's kills. So i looked up friday the 13th kill rankings and was greeted with the friday the 13th part 6 recount. I was curious and watched it and have been a fan pf the channel ever since. I have kept up with just about everything, always trying to support when I can. As a long time horror fan and an actor who hopes to one day be in a movie featured in the kill count, i can say without a doubt that this channel is a must for anyone who loves horror. It has helped me out through some tough times in recent years and turned me on to movies i wish i knew about sooner. One last thing, i know James probably won't see this but i wanted to make a case that there is reason to cover Freddy vs Jason one last time. Say you do recounts for the elm street franchise, and when you reach FvJ there has been new info since the last time it was covered. In the last recount, there's mention of rey mysterio doing stunt work as freddy, but in a recent interview. Rey mysterio has confimed he did not in fact do any stunt work for the film. But thank you james and everyone for all the hardwork over the years.

The Critic of Innocence

I found this channel just as it channeled out of Practical Folks on a whim. Been a wild ride seeing how this channel has grown and given me a greater appreciation of horror.

Derek Martz

Aw, the ending got me emotional, too. To everyone at Dead Meat, thank you for building this wonderfully warm little community and Being Good People.

Mary S.

Exactly my thoughts! YT should get on bended knee to Dead Meat for bringing them value, not jerking them around like this, it's not right. I don't know why this show keeps me sane but it does.

Brenden Yee

Dead Meat is literally the exact reason I have a horror personality, is and will always be the best ❤️

CloverLurker

I'm glad I stuck around all this time. The long breaks gave me a chance to learn and enjoy Zoran's humor. I love horror BECAUSE of the obscure and weird ideas, so the "weird era" was a delight to me. Now we have video game kill counts which are just as enjoyable as the mainstream. I love you guys and look forward to more from you guys!

Kyn'Elwynn

Y'all've been through so much. Really upset that YouTube screws you so much. I'm not a huge horror fan (I squick easily and am not a fan of being spooked) but I am so curious about the story depicted or how the team made the film and Dead Meat's been a wonderful way for me to experience films I might not otherwise see and in a few cases has been enough impetus to see one or two films

Eyrie Gant

I had never really thought of myself as a horror fan, until i had found the kill count, it was an easy way to experience horror without the commitment of scaring myself, and i thought it was a really interesting concept, i'm happy to say i've watched the kill count religiously since the saw kill counts, i'm extremely grateful for the work you all put into the kill counts to entertain every week, Thank you Dead Meat.

Mara Copland

I think one of my favourite new(ish) running gags is how they change Billy’s wardrobe in the background. It’s just fucking delightful. Thanks to Dead Meat, I had my love of horror movies reignited. I really can’t thank you guys enough for giving me something to hyperfocus on while I knit. (Hot Saw Summer 2026, baby!)

Sadee Dillon

MY FIRST KILL COUNT AS A PATREON USER YAYAYAYAYAAYA

Lestat-TheBratPrince

Dead meat came around just as I was pushing myself to try watching horror movies. Your whole team is a big part of why I fell in love with the genre you all should be incredibly proud. From the 12year old that couldn’t read goosebumps books because they were too scary (but was really interested in them and read them anyway) to the high schooler who had nightmares from final destination. Saw is now my hyper fixation and you made my dreams I didn’t even know I had come true releasing hot saw summer the same week as my birthday.

Ells

This has made me want to rewatch all 500 Kill Counts. . . also just reminded me how much I love this channel and how grateful I am that it exists - who would've thought counting kills in horror films would be so comforting

Tony Morales

I remember when you did Friday the 13 in the beginning I'm happy to be here on this journey with you and the team. I cried so many times watching this episode.

Bombash

Congratulations to James and to the entire team! Been absolutely crushing it, so happy to be a little ‘meatie

Derek Martz

What an achievement! Here’s to 500 more!

Hillary Pritchard

Been here since drunk Disney and am still waiting for Return of the Sith. Don’t think I forgot. I didn’t. Lmao.

Scott Ramirez

Wait what happened with Loot Fright?

Andrew Koss

You guys are the best. Love supporting the channel. You all have provided so much entertainment, joy, and information. You definitely made the pandemic times easier and more bearable. Keep doing what you love! Here’s to 500 more! Cheers

MadTinkerer

Massive issues with quality and reliability starting very shorty after the sponsorship. Essentially in 2019 it dived hard off a cliff, declared bankruptcy, and has been a shell of it's former self ever since. Tons of people dont get what they paid for, and the people who do get it aren't happy with what they get.

Sam Konkel

Hope you'll do ANOTHER Kill Count on the Kill Count for Episode 1000.

Lucy Sherley

Wow, this was a very enlightening video. I started watching your videos when you weren't even done with the Friday the 13th kill counts and I was just 14. Like many others I discovered you because of the game. I actually got into horror movies because of this channel. I watched consistently for a couple years and more on and off for a few more. I regrettably stopped watching when James left the show temporarily. I now see that I have missed out on so much incredible creative content. I recently started watching you again because I am showing classic horror movies to my wife. And what better to cap off a movie watching experience than to watch a kill count. I am actually only halfway through the video I am writing this while my wife is in the restroom :3.

Aleece Eliza

I have a soft spot for the 2021 videos, especially the Friday the 13th recounts. I got married on Friday, August 13th 2021, and I watched the first recount as I was getting ready, so that video has a very special place in my heart.

CareBearCub

Wow! I’ve been watching since essentially from the beginning!! It’s so amazing to see how much you guys have grown over the years, and I see major things coming in the future!! Especially see the Dead Meat Horror awards becoming the Oscar’s for Horror films!!!

Arthur dawson

loved this episode

Riley Niemeyer

I got the patreon for this lol

agentkreeper12

im so happy for you guys making it this far, im proud to say ive been a fan since the very start and funnily enough my dad and I argue over who introduced who to the kill count in the first place (me i did but he likes to think he did lmao)

Billy Panovec

I just like to say I do like zoran style and I have seen every single episode multiple times

Ashley

I and a couple of my friends who watch the kill count honestly love the sponsor sections they’re always so fun so don’t listen to whatever nonsense anyone else is saying!

Clogger0505

Got the patreon for this video Did not disappoint, thank you

Ryan O

Bravo been watching since the first kill count I’m 26 now!

Spencer Liberto

I just realized that I’ve been watching this show for 7 years now! I remember starting to watch it because It Chapter Two was coming out the following year and my brother and uncle wanted me to go see it with them. I was terrified of anything horror or horror adjacent at the time, but I really wanted to go with them. So I looked up info on the 2017 IT and found this channel. It was so cool to see a different side of the horror genre, and for the first time. I understood why people liked these movies. My love of horror has since grown and I give all the credit in the world to this channel. I even got my dad hooked for a while. Sadly, I stopped watching as regularly about a year or two ago when I started college, but since this past summer, I’ve started watching again. And after thinking it over for years, I finally decided to join the Patreon, mainly cause I wanted to see the Mummy remake kill count so badly (side note: thank you for introducing me to the amazing talent that is Brendan Fraser!) Sorry for talking about myself so much. I just wanted to share the journey you and the whole dead meat crew have taken me on. Yinz are actually a bigger part of my life than I realized, and I can’t thank you enough. This channel has opened up a whole new world for me that’s led me to try new things and meet new people who love the genre and even this show. So thank you. I can’t wait to see whatever is next for everyone at Dead Meat. Yinz are good people!

Liam White

You brought up the whole thing about using the Kill Count as an alternative to watching movies, but I must say I appreciate what you do with this show as a blind viewer. There's a lot of old horror movies that have never gotten and probably never will get audio descriptions, so while I always try to watch new movies I'm interested in before you cover them, I've absolutely used the Kill Count as a substitute for movies that I couldn't regularly enjoy to the fullest. Hearing the sounds of a kill in a movie without audio descriptions doesn't hit as well as hearing a description of that kill in its full context. So like I'd watch the Kill Count first, then if the movie interested me I'd go watch it afterwards knowing what was going on. You've gotten me into a lot of movies I'd never regularly enjoy and I can't thank you enough for that.

I love The Kill Counts! I learn so many cool facts from them! Congrats on 500 kill counts!

Billy Panovec

I'd like to know when you going to cover the next five or six of the leprechaun movies that's a lot of sequels that have not yet been covered

Kiran Tichota

It's really sweet to see a review of the whole show's growth and changes 🥲 I started watching in 2020 and it became a weekly schedule to tube in every Friday after school. Also very cute to see how much James values his team and LOVES Chelsea, adorbs

OlympianGerm

You guys should update the sporcle quiz now that there's a new milestone number like this!

Erin May

James being so apologetic about his appearance. He's fine any way he has his haircut or facial hair. This was a wonderful behind the scenes of your journey. Thank you. I watch the Kill Counts within hours of them posting. This is one of the highlights of my week and has been for a few years. It's been so long I can't even remember when I discovered this channel but it is my favorite one.

Fernando s

Been here for over 5 years huge fan.

MrSlipperyNoodle

I found this channel by accident when YouTube recommended the You're Next kill count. I know James said in the episode that he loves hearing that people fell in love with horror thanks to the channel, but that wasn't the case for me. I've always loved horror. Maybe that's the reason for being the only YouTube channel I watch regularly, and the only one that's ever made me feel like part of a community. Either way, its rad to have this channel that shares my love of movies and horror, and its even more rad to see 500 episodes. Wherever this channel goes, I'll be watching.

Bones

Here’s to another 8 years of glorious kills to count congratulations James and everyone involved with Dead Meat!!

Blake Allen

You guys built my love for horror. I didn’t find you until after your scream 5 cameo, but I’d only been a fan of the basics of the genre for a year and a half by that point. Thank you for everything you guys do for the genre!

EvilBefall

A kill count of a kill count Sounds like a inception plot 😂 Great to see the evolution of James again

Alex Noguer

Thank you for what you do

Dom JL

Started with chucky 2 and this has been a major channel in my life

daniel bethel

oh this is a really fun idea for a special episode. Perfect.

Sebastian Gould

Amazing 500th kill count! I don't know if I'd be nearly as in love with horror without dead meat. Thank you guys so much for everything.

Ethan Guinness

I started watching Dead Meat in 2019, that was when I really got into horror. This channel has been a huge part of my life over the last 6 years, congrats on 500 DM. Here’s to 500 more.

Matthew Boettcher

The Kill Counts shows me what movies I might want to watch. I can name probably dozens of movies I never would have watched if it wasn't for The Kill Count showing me how good they were. I literally have a backlog.

Anesha Berry

So much has gone into this small, but mighty company. It has made an cool impact on my household. I'm upping my subscription. Thank you so much, DM!!

Waffles the official uncle of the Show.

Big love to james and the team.

Caden Conner

congratulations dead meat team!! been a fan since 2017. thanks for all that you guys do for the horror space

Zernek

This was awesome. I'm always sad to hear about the decline in viewership, especially because I fully agree with you, you content over the past 2 years has been the best you've ever put out. The VHS arc is maybe the greatest thing you've ever done (Horror Awards excluded because duh). I'm glad that Dead Meat is still sustainable and that you're still having fun with it and finding new ways to be creative with it.

starrymoth

I have gained a new appreciation for so many incredible movies thanks to you! I'm so lucky to be around for this milestone! The benefit of finding you later is all the backlog I get to explore. Here's to 500 more!

Zernek

They did mention it briefly. No kills happened during it, though.

Poke Central

This episode is very important to me I've been watching since December 2017 and when I was 14 it's been with me throughout so much hardships this show inspired me to pursue a career in film making thank you so much to James and everyone that makes these videos possible you're all very appreciated

Ryan Ryanson

Happy 500 guys. Dead meat and the kill count has meant a lot to me over the years and provided so much comfort in times when I needed it most. Here's to the next 500!

Jimmie Maghes

This was so kool. Admittedly I haven’t watched all the kill counts. But that’s because I just started following dead meat at the beginning of the year and it’s hard to find time to watch 500 kill counts. But I still listen and watch the podcast and have enjoyed the audio commentaries you guys have done. And I know I’ve said this before but dead meat really helped me when my mom went in and out of the hospital 3 different times this summer. I loved horror movies before I found dead meat , but you guys have introduced me to some fun ones I never would have found on my own, and you guys reignited my love for saw during hot saw summer, keep up the good work and I wholeheartedly appreciate everything you and your team does. Stay good people guys!

Niksamair

Thank you for all those years of killing, counting, fun facting and joking around horror movie, love you guys

Lane Congdon

All I can say is what a ride. I’m not even a horror movie guy, but I will watch every kill count!

Maria Sanchez

I've quite literally been watching him the Kill Count since 2018 when I was a 12 year old middle schoolers, now I'm 19, and in my freshman year of college. And I've loved every single minute of the Kill Count.

Neal

This is such a fun episode! It’s great to see the behind the scenes info of the show and channel. I’ve been a fan since the Halloween kill counts and have loved it ever since. Thanks James!

kurt russell

Im shook that you hadnt seen The Thing until you covered it. Its my favorite horror movie!

Ssubby

Why no mention of the horror awards? I love that show!

Agnieszka Ś

For some reason in my head Zoran has always been a friend of James and Chelsea's so I'm surprised they met when DeadMeat had already existed!

Frank Gurrieri Jr

Dead Meat is a channel that means the world to me. When I discovered it, I was immediately hooked and have been a regular viewer and rewatcher ever since. I watch at least 1 kill count or video every day. They make me smile and I and beyond thrilled with the Dead Meat teams success. Cheers! Here is to many more years, but not for this bastard skellys. (A phrase i use in my every day life.) Thank you Dead Neat for all you do.

Harrison Rowe

Years and Years of memories, the greatest YouTube show and part of my incredible love for all things horror, Thank You James, Chelsea, Zoron and all the rest of the incredible cast and crew for giving us all amazing years of shows to watch.

Chris Mingus

Oh fuck, when did James come back?

Anesha Berry

This is awesome. Congratulations to the DM crew on 500 episodes!! On a side note, my 18 year old son has walked around for the past few years quoting J.A.J. so much, that my youngest children picked up on it. Now at least once a day, someone in my house is yelling out "DINO-SAWH"! 😆

Ssubby

The movie trivia you include makes the show what it is, literally so much more than just counting kills. Congrats on this huge milestones. You got me to watch amazing horror movies like Sinners and Weapons, I used to be too scared of getting scared to give them a chance! I don’t care if the views are bad, you're one of the BEST shows on YouTube!

Kimberly

Glad you never get tired of hearing people say this show got them into horror, because here's one more! Congrats on 500 episodes guys.
