They’d had their struggles but the birth of their first child seemed to set them on the right path until the night of April 26, 2005, when Janet, 25, was brutally murdered in their home while Raven was playing soccer with friends. Raven emerged as the prime suspect but there was no direct evidence linking him to the crime, causing the case to go cold for years until an observant detective noticed a small but damning detail that caused Raven’s story to fall apart.
