Oh, the figurative mask doesn't hold well, for sure. Jamie might get to know a lot more about the guy behind the rabbit costume, because there's a certain level of honesty involved, strangely enough, especially because of the presence of a mask. The self-esteem issues are definitely high in that guy, but Jamie has secrets - and skeletons - of his own.

I don't mind the 'wall' since I can't make line breaks on PC, either - I have no idea if there's an option somewhere I don't know about. The 'inspector' acted at night during that time, so Jamie couldn't see him well. Also, I did not make any clarifications, but being the master of disguise - oh, lol - that he is, the inspector could very well wear other things to obscure his real features, such as a fake nose. The costume came later, because there is a wish in the character to cosplay sexily - not that he manages that on his own - that's also a hint I will shut up about it. As for your last question - Jayce is a sly fox, giving me ideas and pushing me into writing a longer story... Not that I'm not at fault, since as I discover my characters during writing their adventures, I find myself putting them into more and more complicated situations that I have to solve afterwards! I don't know if Jamie's story will end up being as long as Chasing Rusty Parker or even GGDDBB, but I think that 10-15 chapters at least might be needed for reaching a proper conclusion.

This chapter provided insight into Cottontail revealing breaks in some of his armor. He openly admitted to taking a liking to Jamie. Despite his mask being present, it figuratively slipped. Jamie is slowly uncovering the man behind the mask, but it will likely be a slow process for him. His sleuthing is honing in on Xpress/Cottontail. Cottontail despite his bravado appears to have self-esteem issues being fascinated yet intimidated by the perceived advantages of Jamie. Similarly, Jamie’s exterior masks his softer and vulnerable interior.

This comment would probably be more appropriate for chapter 16 it took me a week to get over myself: DOUBLE DAMN! 1) Patreon will no longer allow me to make line breaks with my phone!!! Aughh! 2) Where is a good, sturdy brick wall when you need one? I’m not saying Liar Vs. Liar’s earlier chapters were not clear enough, I’m merely livid at how dense I can be. It probably should have been clear from early on that Cottontail/Xpress and the inspector were one in the same to me, and while I did… have a weak inkling that that was the case, I still refused to fully believe it until the frickin’ 17th chapter, ughh. It just didn’t make sense at the time, why wear a deerstalker if you’re trying to hide your face? The deerstalker and the rabbit suit are so drastically different, was Cottontail/Xpress trying to throw Jamie off his scent by drastically switching costumes or did he only just happen to come into possession of the rabbit suit later on? 3) I had one more comment/question, but it appears I am too sleep-drunk to remember it. My apologies!! Loved this installment! I keep going back to a comment Jayce made a week or two back: do we really have ~30 more chapters of this to look forward to? Regardless of whether we do, Laura, you are a bonafide fount of clever, sexy curiosity.
