REIKA CHANGE
🕑 Added 2018-04-05 03:32:45 +0000 UTC Hey Patrons/Followers,We've been discussing this internally and on Discord with some of you already, but I feel it's important to share this change now as it may affect your vote in the recent poll.
Due to Patreon guidelines, Reika will now be a very close childhood friend of the protagonist (Kaito) moving forward. It's important to note that her personality won't change at all. She'll be exactly the same as she has been, but without the step sibling references.
I hope this change won't affect your opinion of Reika, but we feel it's important to make sure we adhere to Patreon's guidelines the best we can so we can continue making content for you to enjoy.

I’m not sure if that would be too much for Patreon, but I’ve had female friends refer to me as their older brother, so it wouldn’t be that far fetched to have Reika refer to the protagonist as that in a playful manner.

Nope, patreon hates sibling love (even if it is technically legal as they are not related by blood). But, At least we know her for her original character and can still think of her as our (Kaito) sister despite the topical change to being "totally unrelated childhood friend".

Technically, she can "act" like she is your sister while actually being your childhood friend, its just a topical change to avoid the ire of those who are irked by the though of half-sibling "incest". So I'd assume no major change to her character.

She was, but because of theme being pitched as "incest" (despite not being related by blood) it got redacted. Again, I personally liked the relationship they had from being close half-siblings to finally seeing each other as more then that but, its better not to get on "Lord Patreon's" bad side more so then a few backers decison (which I wish there was a poll for such a character edit but, C'est la vie).
I always thought she was a step sister honestly.

To me it’s not much of a change, I’m honestly curious if a dialogue change to her Quickie will come as well and how other scenes with her play in the future will play out.
Can you put a patch out that puts her back as your sister?

Alright, no problem. Unfortunately it affected Summertime Saga where the incest is what's the best about it but in this one I don't mind at all.
