Sound! Euphonium: A Love Letter to Adolescence
🕑 Added 2021-08-22 14:30:13 +0000 UTCHi everyone! Today I'm super excited to share Sound! Euphonium: A Love Letter to Adolescence!! Apologies that it's coming a little later than I'd hoped -- I ended up going on a ten-day trip this month just to visit friends in another part of the country that I wasn't sure was going to happen, but I used whatever time I could grab to keep working on the video and we made it in the end! I also had a bit of writer's block with this one at the very beginning, but eventually everything clicked.
I definitely set a new personal record with the amount of times I teared up during the process of making this video which probably says more about 1) how much of a crybaby I am, and 2) how good Eupho is than anything, but it definitely had to do with revisiting the show at this particular time in my life. I did initially pick Eupho up back when it started airing but got distracted and never finished it, despite really liking it. I only finally watched the whole series through a year ago, and the movies even more recently, but even in the limited time since, I've been able to do a lot of personal reflection which led to this video being what it is. I think this is the first proper return to that kind of personal content a lot of people like from me in a while, so I hope everyone enjoys watching the video as much as I enjoyed making it. As much as this is true of all my content, a lot of love went into this one and it really was a joy to create. I hope it shows! As always, let me know your thoughts, and speak very soon!

I remember watching the first season as it premiered when I was 14 and learning to accept aspects of who I was. I was absolutely floored by Euphos expressive journey of teenagers committing to their goals and values for the first time. I spent that summer after itβs run looking to find out what I truly wanted and was better adjusted to a new school because of it. Thanks for the great video as always π©
