Exactly. Satan cant create fantasies but he can make your brain feel so much joy it hallucinates on its own. He can see those fantasies though. So he saw Luci’s.

10000 years of regrets are hard to erase. And now that Lilith is gone they come back in force. Satan does hat he can, but he also has a full plate. Two broken friends, that could have been something else but never were.

That’s… really sad. Lilith had just left him, and even without context, it’s easy to relate to the crumpling pressures of ‘what if’s’. But those hypotheticals only leave you feeling worse and even more guilty. We don’t know what happened in Eden, only the aftermath in which ‘true love’ did not win and your ‘family’ treat you like the root of evil. And the man you left behind is unrecognizable. He hates you the most. It’s a unique relationship between Lucifer and Satan that doesn’t exactly fall into a label. To say friends feels to simple, but their not lovers. It’s complex yet simple and can’t be nailed down which I really, really like. -sorry for the rant. It’s just really striking how you wrote and paneled that. And…it also seems to mean that he can take the feelings away just not the root of it per se. Which explains why Cain is still such a mess. And why Lucifer rather likes trailing Adam around the moment that ‘door’ was opened to them. Also… bro!! Lucifer wanted Adam’s kid?! Don’t know why that struck me so hard. That just makes it more sad. —- Pff! If Satan gets hungry he can just needs to ask Adam about Eve. He’ll be full in five seconds.
