Meet the Randomized Angels
🕑 Added 2025-10-13 17:16:58 +0000 UTCThe Angels have improved again! As of this update, every Advent Angel now features randomized faces and hair colors, bringing a touch of unpredictability to the Advent squads.
✦ What’s New
Randomized Faces & Hair Colors - Angels now pull from a pool of unique head sculpts and natural hair tones (blonde, brown, black, and shades in between).
Helmet Percent Chance (MCM Setting) - New MCM slider that lets you control how often the Angels go helmetless. Defaults to 100% (always helmeted), but drop it if you’d like to appreciate the new variety!
✦ Technical Notes & Disclaimers
Hair styles and skin tones are not yet randomized. Only facial sculpts and hair colors are currently varied.
All Angels currently share a single lightly tanned skin tone until the new body and face textures are completed during the Trooper port phase.
(!) DLC Users (!): You’ll need to re-download the DLC. The workflow for the face/hair/helmet options runs off material indexes, which have changed, so you'll see odd results (floating faces) until you update. Update to the Stunlancer_R5 release.
✦ What’s Next
This feature is just the start - later on, Angels will gain proper race-specific tones and a curated selection of helmetless hairstyles for even more visual diversity.

The faces and hairs are all pulled from the base game. Creating custom faces is extremely resource-intensive - a single new face costs more time and money than porting an entire Angel into the game. (That's where my porter takes my 3D modeler's assets and injects them into the game, doing all the rigging and material work needed.) So instead of turning that into a bottleneck, I’m reusing the existing human assets to make this a fun, lightweight bonus feature rather than a ball-and-chain production sink.

Can I ask, Are the faces and hairs used for the randomizer pulled from the base game or are they new faces from this mod.
