If Ike wants to improve himself as a person, use a generous tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, don't mix in the fried onions, only top with them, and only use 3/4 of a can of mushroom soup. Stir to combine, then at the end use the full container of fried onions and bake until browned. I've been in charge of the green bean casserole for 30 years and these are my preferred alterations to the official recipes.
