I love the contrast between the episodes where Arin and Dan eat stuff and this episode. The gentleness they had when holding all these animals is very sweet (especially Dan holding Dexter)

It also helps to give the "uncharismatic" animals names that are either cute and friendly or just really normal, like you can't be scared of a snake named "Simon" lol. I love exotic pets, I have a corn snake and used to have an amblypygid (tailless whip scorpion). I'm obsessed with all animals so this weas a great episode <3

I have an incredibly fear of bugs and spiders, to the extreme that i would sooner end my own existence then have anything crawl on me and have reoccurring nightmares of bugs being poured on my body. Oddly enough the way Critter Christina handled the tarantula made me able to actually sit through that entire segment while i quickly skipped through the cockroach part. It was a fuzzy little cutie
