I don't care much about graphics, but part of why Pokemon games look the way they do(which imo still look pretty good) is time constraints. It's part of why they cut a ton of Pokemon from the mainline Gen 8 & 9 games, and it's why SV were not optimized well on top of having a memory leak issue that has caused a lot of the problems people encounter with the game, such as the L button(or was it the R button?) no longer working to recall a Pokemon in the field. Despite the way Pokemon works on a schedule with everything, I'm hopeful that they'll actually take more time to work on the games. Besides, the newer anime wasn't even out in America till the DLC for SV was fully out. That's just dumb.
