They must've recovered from whatever financial trouble they had that forced them to close every single Florida location. O_o A lot of the Albertson's in my area either got closed out completely or bought by Publix. This was years ago tho, so maybe things are better for them now? Not better enough to reopen in Florida lol

I don't know about most places but where I live most of them got replaced with Safeway, but theyre the same thing, same company so maybe thats the confusion. It's Like some places have Kroger and we have Fred Meyer where I live.
