Game Plugin Poll

I hope you've all had a very happy Christmas, I know I did.
Onto the topic at hand, I'm playing around with a new plugin that allows 8 directional movement to have the game feel closer to Undertale.
HOWEVER, the plugin comes with an issue. it does NOT allow old saves from before the new update.
This means that if I use this plugin for the next update, YOUR CURRENT SAVE FILE WILL BE RENDERED USELESS.
And so, I come here with a decision, which I want you all to decide for me:
Should I use the plugin and make everyone start a new save file for this update, or should I not use the plugin?
I do not want to do something that could invalidate people's progress like that without consulting you all first.
Please think carefully about this.

Kind of agree with Peanut, plus i don't really have too big of a problem with only walking 4 directions.

It is the "RPG Maker MZ - Rosedale Collision Altering Plugin". It is currently on discount in steam if anyone wants to grab it ^^
