Thanks a lot, it's always nice to hear that not only the game is apprechiated :)

I'm good either way, but you know I throw in support here not just for the awesome game(s), but also for all the cool stuff you create for Daz. I would feel like a total heel using any of your asset releases without supporting you. I don't know whether I'm ready to switch to annual subs anywhere yet, (have too many with other big company software, and can't keep track of when stuff is going to hit), but if I do decide to switch over, yours may be the first.

Hey I am not complaining, I have been supporting you for 9 month and plan to continue. Just wrote how I would handle a long time commitment (yeah 1 year is a long time in our times) if it comes to supporting a developer. I am currently supporting 10 developers through different portals and if I like what I see I am willing to give some support to the fellow that keeps me entertained. And I do believe as well that K7 should take things a bit slower before he burns out. But I also support some lazy bums who have not posted anything for months just because I really like what they have done so far and keep hoping that they come around in the near future and continue their awesome work......hope dies last..... ;-)

K7 does a good job yeah, a bit too much for his own good if you ask me, but that's another story. I can't compete with HS games release shedule. I know I probably should post more, but that's simply just me, sorry about that.

I would only sign up to annual subscriptions if I have watched over a period of 6 months that I get something back for my support. If I don't see frequent feeds and updates then I would not hand out any money. One great example would be Killer7 who keeps his supporters uptodate and releases frequently new versions of his game.

Why do I think the site itself needs the money injection more than the devs? :D As for the annual subsciption, it would depend on my support level, my current liquid assets, my benefits and my trust in the dev. Don't know (yet) if I would use it.

Personally I will not sign up to any of them, unless a dev will give a great reason why they need an upfront cash injection. Besides when I am supporting a dev I do not wish a discount. I am supporting an amateur dev to dvelop game after all. If it was just for the game I would buy it when released after all if not just play a pirated version.

You get the payment shortly after it's made for annual subs, it doesn't come with your usual payment.

I'm also thinking about it...

I didn't look into it that much, so I don't know how the payouts work with annual subscription. All I know is that it's optional and doesn't have any real drawbacks for patrons. I'll have a deeper look if there's enough interest.

I wouldn't use it, because I rather give monthly - its more flexible this way. Also I think BMG could plan better when he receives how much if it is NOT annually. But of course that is his decision. I didn't vote, because I don't care if it is offered. :)

Oh okay I didn't know about that.

TotesNotThea

If you set it up, you get to choose how much of a discount those paying for a year upfront get, the maximum is 16%; some devs are setting it at 8% and saying that's the most they can do.

I have big plans, but they won't work if I vanish ;)

umm... discount... yeah, uh... maybe I'll give 10% to all of my sales? oh wait, I don't sell anything^^

Tiredx

As long as you don't randomly vanish off the face of the earth then i'm in.

TotesNotThea

I voted yes, but it also depends on what discount you'll offer on the annual plan.

I should probably mention that it's an optional payment method.
