What a year...

I thought it might be a good time to write a few sentences before I go back to work.
You guys probaly know that I'm not good at this, so I'm going to make it short^^
It's been a rough year for all of us, a lot of people lost their job last year, luckily I lost my job one month before the pandemic [insert-hide-the-pain-emote-here].
Lockdowns, shortages, people dying... yeah, 2020 sucked ballz!
Good it's over and I hope it's going to get better from now on and that all of you and your families are well and healthy.
Developement wasn't easy as well, I didn't manage to get all the content I had planned done for the last update.
I lost one of my grafics cards for a while, but got a replacement from a friendly pelican, otherwise the update would've taken even longer or would've been much shorter.
I had to recode some stuff which made it nessecary to start a new game which is always troublesome. Yes I know some people hate that, but they tend to forget that the game is still in developement and it's better to improve old code than sticking with it and possibly get major problems later.
By the way I'm officially self-employed now and it only took NINE F*ING MONTHS! from when I filed the application... bureaucrazy!
Anyway, there was no way for me to find a new job during corona and now I'm at least independant and have more time for developement.
It took lots of paperwork, emails, phone calls and of course all of that while trying to develope a game and keeping enough money together to survive the next few months.
This would've been exhausting without rona already, but I doubt I'd have taken the step without it...
So yeah, 2020 sucked, but the good news is that it's over and we survived it, so let's move on and forget about it asap^^

Glad you ‘landed on your feet’. Your struggle reminds me of the band Sheep Dogs in their Rolling Stone interview. The interviewer (who had done practically zero research) asked what it was like being ‘over night sensations’. One of the band members replied: it took 30 years for that ‘over night sensation’. Self employed will have it’s hardships, so I’m wishing you the best results with the least hiccups. The freedom tho is very powerful. Looking forward we shall! And thank you for sharing your work, your challenges and your thoughts.
